I would like to go into ministry, but I con't feel like I'm cut out to be a missionary. I would also like to work outside the Church.

I think it depends on what you mean by "the Church". In my view, "church" is anytime three or more people are gathered in the Lord. Which means we'd never be outside of church.

But if you're talking about a formal church, there are lots of opportunities in para church organizations. Everything from Open Doors, serving the persecuted church (even through working in the US) to Children's Evangelism Fellowship. Basically, if you feel the Lord is calling you to minister in a specific area, there is some ministry out there working on it. (Or you may be called to start it.

The leadership in your church (pastor, preacher, priest) should be a good source of information.

Also, you might try an organization I heard about this morning: The Evangelical Free Church of America (I'm assuming you're an American). From what a friend told me, they arrange all sorts of events.

It's downright inspiring to read a question like yours. Keep up the search, and God bless you.

How about writing books? Volunteering at a homeless shelter sponsored by multiple churches? What is it that you think you have to share and what skills do you have for sharing it? Can you sing or play music...then what about writing or performing worship songs? Do you feel led to help people younger than you, then what about becoming a mentor for an abstinence program (or something like that)?

God is a creator. We are made in his image. Does that mean we are creators? It may be advantageous to 'create' one presently'!!!
