Your owner's manual will give you more information about exactly how much gas will normally be available in your gas tank once the fuel light or 'E' is indicated by the fuel gauge.
I never try to go more than 20 miles highway or 10 miles city (with starts and stops) if my fuel light is on.

depends on the car and how you drive and whatnot. I know (because I have a gauge telling me how many miles I have on my tank) that I have approx. 48-50 miles left once the Low Fuel light comes on.

When the little red light comes on, you have APPROXIMATELY two gallons of gas left, but it's not very accurate. Get to gas station as soon as possible (by the way, it's not a good idea to let all the gas run out in any case. Fill up BEFORE it shows "E.")

BETWEEN 50 AND 75 MILES.
AFTER YOU DO THIS YOU WILL BE ASKING HOW MUCH IS IT TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP ON MY VEHICLE.
THE FUEL PUMP IS COOLED DOWN BY THE FUEL AND IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO NEVER LET THE GAS GO PAST THE 1/4 MARK.

it depends on how you drive your car, the terrain you are driving on and what you have running on your car. so there isn't a good way to give a definite number
