Tell him your sick of his sh*t, to leave you the hell alone and the next time he harasses you about YOUR property your going to contact the police. Hes probably lived there a long time and is just used to having things his way, But its your property and you can do w/e the city allows. Sense they issued you the permit for the fence you have done nothing wrong.

The most he could do was order a survey of the property. As long as you are within your limits, and the fence complies with local building codes, your neighbor is not going to get anywhere.

There is nothing you can do about him talking about it. That is his right, just like it was your's unless it voilates city ordinance or neighborhood covenents, etc. If he continues to harass you about it, call the police and they can maybe explain to him that he needs to drop it or risk going to jail. Take the high road on this and don't get involved in his pissing match. He sounds like he needs to be fenced up with the other jackasses. Good luck.

Many Homeowner's Associations have restrictions on the kind of fencing that can go up in a neighborhood. As long as you aren't violating those rules, you don't have to DO anything. If he continues to use profanity and disrespect you, I would file a restraining order. Maybe that will open his eyes up to the fact that people should respect each other...

Some cities in fact have regulations on putting up fences specially on corner streets... check with your city bylaws, if there is some restrictions then you should comply if none the FK thy neighbor and protect your private use of your doweling!

Do your other neighbors have fences up? If not make sure your not in violation of some deed restriction, city or county code.

If your legal, tell him to sue you then go enjoy the privacy of your yard.

Ignore. Don't hang around outside. If there is no city ordinance prohibiting the fence, the dork has no leg to stand on.

I would tell him, "Why didn't you paint your Fn house Fn pink?" He would say, "It's none of your business." I would then say, "Exactly. If you want to buy it, you can for (value + (value*.50). If you don't want to buy it, don't tell whoever owns it what to do with it."

Let him go talk to the neighbors. They are probably answering your question on here thinking about the same whackjob you are talking about.

unless you are part of a HOA (home owners association) there is nothing he can do

if your neighborhood is part of a HOA you must submit plans for the fence to the HOA and have it approved ... then he cannot mess with you

if you are part of a HOA and you put in the fence without HOA approval, and there are some guidelines in the HOA charter ... he may have a case
