Oh Windom,,,, you're definitely on to something. I think the answer is that they share a common ancester in which we also called the Cleveland Browns.

the baltimore ravens are actually a mutation spawned from the sweat of the cleveland browns and radioactive bananas.

they didn't evolve.. good ol' art made ridicoulsy high demands on the city of Clevland, and the city said bite us, so he moved the team to baltimore. The city of cleveland, wanted to keep a team so they put a new team together

i'll tell u the whole story. so back in the day the Baltimore Colts decided to leave us(baltimore) and go to indianapolis. Baltimore had no team :(
so then the clevland browns moved to baltimore :)
but we left clevland the name and their colors and Baltimore came up with the new mascot (ravens) and new colors.
