Okay,. I know that evolution is "bad science", what other discoveries are offensive to God? Would mankind serve God best if we just stopped trying to learn?

anything that conflicts with christian doctrines is "bad science". heliocentrism was bad science because it conflicted with the doctrine that the earth is the center of god's creation. similarly, evolution is still considered bad science by many because it conflicts with the doctrine that humans are separate from the animals and were specially created by god. as with heliocentrism, the evidence can't be ignored forever. eventually the doctrines will have to be changed and it will be made to appear as if that's what they said all along.

Why is evolution a "bad science?" Maybe evolution was God's instrument to create life, hm? Last time I checked, the only "bad" science was...um...nothing? How 'bout you stop learning so you can go to Heaven, don't teach your kids anything since it stems from science, and I'LL keep learning to become a better person...so...everything that doesn't go for your God is offensive to the being, seems a bit touchy to me, don't ya think?

REAL scientific discoveries are not "offensive to God" at all. Christians believe in science. Many of the founders of modern science were Christians and creationists.

And I'm all for learning. Study the universe, see what God has created and how it works!

The problem comes when Science looks at one little bit of evidence, or the data from one little blip on history's timeline, and fills in the rest by guesswork and supposition. That's not science, that's imagination.

Science observes things happening, asks why they happen, figures out why they happen. But since scientists cannot go back through the millions of years they claim the earth existed, they cannot truly scientifically tell us what happened. They are limited to giving their best guesses.

I'm all for science -- REAL science that knows what it can and cannot accurately explain.

I've heard of "science of the mind", not familiar with "religious science". Suggest Google/Wikipedia. Blessings on your Journey!

I don't see how evolution is offensive to God.

Certainly, it contradicts the Bible, but the bible was written by men, not by God, and frankly, those men are all dead anyway.

Edit:

Or are you claiming to know the Will of God? If you are, I think that's pretty arrogant. Religion, if practiced dilligently, brings us closer to the Divine, but until you become omniscient, I really don't believe that you do, in fact, know the full will of Deity.

Yes thats it,discoveries are offensive to god, because there is no such thing as god.Don't think or question or enquire about things just follow what you are told by your religious leaders, but if you get ill ask for science to help.

lay believers are not the ones to accept or discount science. science finds the truth in things whether people believe it or not. science can prove how and why evolution happened regardless if dribbling twits tell you it's fake

Just because you chose to be selective over which bible verses you believe (eaten any shellfish recently?) does not mean that you can do the same thing with science.

All properly peer reviewed science is valid.

The King James bible, for English speaking people, is the plumbline for all truth.

Learning what it says, and measuring everything you hear by it is serving God.

If evolution is bad science, kindly get off the Internet and your PC, which is also "bad science" that youre using. Also, please stop using any prescription medications you are taking.

If you want truly bad science, please look up Creationism, Intelligent Design, Young Earth Creationism and any other pseudo sciences you people practice.
