You'd be betterf verify with the merchant if he/she is willing to accept money orders BEFORE sending it in.

He or she is not required to accept it as a form of payment if he does not want to.

Yes,it's better to send a U.S. Post office money order.Rather than ones at convienant stores.
You can trace U.S. post offices'.
