He didn't make the devil. He made angels, and some of them chose to rebel against God. He gave them free will, and they chose to go against God.
Evil is always the result of man's (or angels') choice.

This really boils down to the most ancient question in religion - why is there suffering. More specifically; why do bad things happen to good people. There really is no answer. The ancient church blamed it on original sin (and in some ways still does). This is the curse we inherited from Adam and Eve for their disobedience.

I happen to think that deep down inside we are all good. Call it the image of God, Buddha nature or whatever. It is better to begin to look within to find that goodness than to run around the world searching for it.

Gandhi said be the change you want to see in the world. Peace, love and harmony will only come when we become that.

Whether you are a Christian or something else (like me) it is none-the-less true that you are connected to all things in the universe. When we see ourselves as seperate, then we begin to suffer.

Think on this Grasshopper.

Good luck

The devil started out as an angel that rebelled. God gave us all free will. If we didn't have this, then we would all be like little puppets on a string. He has a plan for our lives but sometimes we mess things up by making our own choices instead of focusing on God for guidance. When we do this then things have to happen in our lives to put our focus back on God and to put us back on the right path.

The KEY to most concepts is found in the basic understanding of God. All the whys refer back to the "CONCEPT" you have about God. Without a SOLID foundation how can one build ?

Since all things came from God, then the devil himself also came from God. When Darkness ( chaos, confusion, etc...) was upon the face ( God ) of the deep, God separated the things inside Him. The most outstanding darkness is known to us as the devil. The outstanding Light is known to us as Jesus.

All the good in the world comes from Jesus.
All the bad in the world came from the devil.

SEPARATION ! All was manifest in the spiritual realm, and is being manifested in the natural realm. This separation process has been going on since the revealing of Satan, so all can see and judge.

Romans 1:20 says : For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so they are without excuse.

This same separation is what is expected of Christians. We are to do introspection constantly, dividing the good from the evil. The darkness from the light. Replacing ignorance with understanding. We are to REVEAL what is in us, and judge. That righteous judgement is given to us by the Word .

As he gives us all free will, I'm not convinced He did know this was going to happen. Don't you think existence would be extremely boring if we always knew how others were going to respond? He did not make Satan be what He is or is not. He simply responded to it appropriately. I think he threw him to earth. There were also other angels who wanted the physical experience, and so God allowed this for them. I still believe it is possible that if Satan can be redeemed, that God will allow this, and restore Satan to some kind of Grace.
At least this is what I believe, given that we all have free will to do good or bad. Short answer, but enough for now.
Peace

you answered your own question girly.. God does now, what is going to happen, but god did not make the devil (Satan),,, yes god did created the angel at the beginning, but with time.. (he wanted to be more powerful than god, and take his place) Which will never happen, but the point is girly that god created the angel at first, and he was good, but since he saw that every body would just obey god, then the angel began to feel jealous, and till this day he corrupts people into doing wrong so that is why his name is Satan (devil),,, i hope this answered your question...

Yes God knows all. I feel that God creates us all good and God requires our love. The thing about love is none of us want to make someone love us we just want them to love us just because. This is why he allotted us free will. But with free will some people allow wickedness to enter into what God has created good and we fall from His grace the same as Satan. When this happens the cause and effect clause must fall into effect thus the problems of the world.

thats a good question, that i'm sure many are wondering about. we can never really know god's mind, why he does the things that he does. this is something that we will understand more fully after death. god see's the whole picture, already played out, all human's are able to see is the here and now, and the past of course, we have no idea whats in store, i feel that god allowed it to play out that way, to see who's truly devoted to him and who's not. he gave us all free will to follow him into the light or follow satan into the darkness. his reasoning will become clear to all one day, for now, keep your eyes on the light, because some things are just a mystery to us, and we don't want to get lost in the darkness of sin.

I don't believe that He knows EVERYTHING ahead of time . This is because He gave us free will. He may have a good idea where we are headed but does not know that at the last second if we will turn left or turn right. Even if He does He has to for legal and formalities sake go through the process. That way nobody can say " unfair " . Let the wise understand.

Coz there is a big mistake somewhere in our belief system, we say God is all knowing, all powerful, yet there is a disconnect in everything, people suffering dying, inequality everywhere you turn, its not a world that would be created by the perfect God. the bible doesnt really explain all that, either it was lost while being compiled or someone decided that part of the story would come at his 2nd resurrection. look at our own lives, if we are christians and pray, before we make a mistake, isnt God supposed to hold us up and not allow it to happen if he Loved us so much. so there is basically no answer to the "why did God ..." series.

I guess that is the same as asking Why is there suffering in the world?

First, I don't believe that God knows everything that is going to happen ahead a time. And yes I am a born again Christian. I believe God has the ability to know everything but limits himself. He obviously chooses to know certain things in the future but I don't believe he knows every little detail nor does he care about every little detail. He doesn't care to know if you are going to wear underwear or not tomorrow.

Second, I think the answer lies again with freedom of choice. Good and Bad have to co-exsist in order for either one to exsist. You can not know what light is unless you have experessed darkness. Sin and the consequences of sin make us have the ability to be moral beings.
