I have had my dog for a year now and when I got her I was told her Mom was a Chihuahua and her dad was a Min Pin (both registered) I have always said she is a Chihuahua/Min Pin mix, but my sister and brother in law seem to think she had dauchsund in her, b/c is long in length. Are some dogs just longer bodied than others? Her girth is 15" and she is 14" long (neck to tail) I just said I figured her mom was a long haired Chihuahua. Please tell me what you think:

I am just curious, I don't care what her mix it, sometimes it's just nice to be able to tell people when they ask :)

Thanks!

I think you're right, my purebred Chi has a kinda long back and Min pins do to. Whatever mix she is she's absolutely adorable.

She's very cute, and I would suspect some dachshund in her, she's too long for a chi, but maybe the mini-pin accounts for it.

Who cares??? You have an adorable little dog, one of a kind, doesn't matter what she's mixed with.

She isn't a doxie. She's a chi/minpin. Lots of chis near the border are the black and tan, it's more popular in Mexico than other colors. In the states, fawn is favored.
Your dog is beautiful. I love the alert, curious look she has. She looks very happy.

If you were told that parents are Chi/Min Pin, hopefully they were...but I could see why your sis and BIL would say dachshund.

CUte dog, BTW
