*Answer to main question only*
Should we do this? Probably not. But does everyone else? Of course!
Everyone selects certain ideas that they wish to believe in and ignore the rest.
I love how people who cheat (which is one of the ten commandments) have no problem claiming how homosexual people are going to Hell (even though there is not commandment regarding homosexuality).
But back to the topic at hand. Maybe people who claim to be Christians should follow the entire Bible. But the reality is most don't. Most of us just go through and pull out what we think is important to us and our own morals and forget about the rest.
And good luck getting the answers to the rest of your questions!

I do believe that many Egyptians were drowned in the Red Sea when they attempted to come after the Hebrews after they walked through the parted waters.
I do believe Moses killed an Egyptian. That is what caused him to flee into the desert and live for 40 years. That is where he encountered God in the burning bush.
Moses did not make the laws that put the people to death. Moses did receive the laws from God and the people's rejection/disobedience is what caused them to die.
Moses did as God commanded and placed the bronze/brass serpent on the pole and when the people looked upon it they were healed. That emblem is still a medical symbol today.
I don't believe Moses caused the Egyptian children to die by passover. I do believe that the angel of death took those kids because the blood was not on the doorpost.
I do not believe Moses turned his rod into a serpent. God did that to show him that He was indeed God.
I do believe that the God of Moses is the same God is I call Father and resides in heaven.
I do not believe that Jesus killed anyone. He was sinless.

I am a Christian, I don't serve Moses, I serve Jesus Christ, Was Moses perfect, NO, but he was God's servant, Moses was no killer, in fact he was the meekest man on the face of the earth. Moses was God's messenger, In Moses' day they had laws, just like we do today, Our laws put people to death today, it has to be that way or the whole world would be one great big war, its almost there now. When Jesus Christ came into the world he came to be a sacrifice for our sins, so that we might be in Heaven with him, he was perfect, but was condemned to die on a cross for the sins of all mankind. Now in order to go be with him when we die we must be born again spiritually, John 3:3, also read John 3:15&16, If you have not accepted him has Lord you can right now, just say this simple prayer and you canbe come a child of God, it doesn't take a preacher, or a church to get saved, just faith in Jesus, just say Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

That is from the Old Testament, which is filled with anger, violence, threats, murders, fire and brimstone. If Moses did all that, he should have been put in restraints and kept away from the public. In todays world, he'd be in prison for his lifetime.
The Bible says, "The Lord raiseth the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill to set them among princes and to make them inherit the throne of glory." He continues to say that "by strength, no man will prevail."
These are beautiful words that will help you in times of stress and heartbreak. To pick and choose from that garbled text is only sensible. Biblical scholars have spent a life time trying to understand it all. Certainly some uneducated preacher using his own interpretation is not the answer.
Choose your faith and follow your heart. Refuse to pick up the current mode of bigotry and judgmental hatred. What good does it do anyone to dwell on those violent and hateful actions?

Moses seems to be a bit on your mind today.
Who did Jesus kill? I don't remember him killing anybody! (Please enlighten me).
I am a Christian, but I don't consider myself a literalist or think that it's necessary to believe in Balam's *** or a literal garden of eden to follow what Jesus said. So I think that's the challenge, to read the bible for yourself and decide what you believe - whether all of it unquestioningly (and illogically) or some parts and not other parts.

Do you believe in too many questions? You need a serious Bible study, personal and in your own home.
