American Bull dogs do very well with cats. Also try a Wired fox terrier or a Schnauzer, they also do well with cats. I had a Poodle that loved cats. She was always dragging one of the neighbors cats around the yard by their necks.

No, pretty much a matter of temperament and whether the dog is used to cats.

Your best bet is to go to your local shelters and see if there is a dog for adoption who is used to cats and gets along with them.

The alternative would be to decide on a breed and go to that breed rescue and see if they have a dog who is used to living with cats.

My Pomeranian and my Calico cat were best friends. My little Pom passed away 2 yrs ago and now we have a Sheltie. They get a long very well but the cat is getting very old and the Sheltie is still a puppy so they don't play as much anymore. So there's 2 breeds that I know of that get along fine with cats :-)

Any dog breed can live well with cats. It's up to the owner. I currently have 3 dogs (and 4th one coming soon) and 2 cats. They all live happily together! :)

Well as long as it's about the same size as your cat and it's friendly any toy breed should be ok

I would recamend a miniture poodle or maybe a Pomeranian,or even a Cotten De Tulear, a shih Tzu or pug would be fine also.

Yes, our golden retriever has four cats to play with. They have a lot of fun together. Although the dog is scared of one of them who has a tendency to jump out and swat him from a hiding place. He always looks down the hallway before going down it, but the cat still gets him.

You can socialise a puppy with a cat and they should be OK. Nothing 'breed-specific'.

Yeah, pretty much any breed that is socialized around cats and taught to leave them alone.
