i saw the building collapse and get hit and i could feel the pain my brother felt when he died. i miss him so much and i hope osama bin laden rotts in hell. at the time i was 7 years old and i was in school. my brother jeffery was 21 and just started working for the wtc. he was in the company for about 2 and a half months. i never knew this would happen to him and i just cant belive it. he was laways a great brother and i hope he rests in peace. its just so sad. he never got to experience the best in life. he never got married or had kids. and the worst part is i never even got to say good bye. the last time we saw each other was in the morning. he was getting ready for work beacse he still lived with us. it was time for break fest so i wanted his favorite cereal. he got mad the i ate it all so we started arguing. i never even said good byte just said made fun of him all the way to the door. it makes me realize how life is cruel and you should never fight with your loved ones. beacuse you never know when you will see them again. i miss you jeffery rest in peace

I was a junior in high school, in Middlesex County, New Jersey. I'll never forget this. It was French class, and we were learning the active past tense (forgot the proper name) but we were learning stuff like "Ills sont descendus" (They have descended). My friend had just answered a question, when we heard a faint crash and the lights flickered for a few seconds.

We continued the lesson thinking nothing was wrong, school is right off US 1 and we heard crashes all the time. About ten minutes later the principal comes on the loud speaker and announced that the first plane had hit, and we were to stay in the classes we were in. The teacher was continuing the lesson, as the principal came on again and announced about the second plane.

Time continued, I had just answered a question about "Ills sont descendus" when the princpal came on again, and told us that both towers had fallen, and a plane had hit the Pentagon. You could have heard a pin drop in the room.

Was in Ft Lee NJ at a drs office that has a great view of the city. Saw the towers on fire and watched them fall. When I left the office I saw the saddest parade of emergency equipment from the surrounding towns heading across the GW bridge into the city to help out. The area around the bridge was locked down, no traffic anywhere. Went to the kid's school to pick them up. Spent 4 days sitting in shock watching the news. Found out that many neighbors and some friends didn't make it home that day. They never will.

Well.
3rd Grade.
I was in school.
The usual.
Then, durinq lunch, we have a microphone so the teacher on duty could talk and stuff.
Suddenly, SOO many parents were requesting to see their children. Many of my classmates were pulled out of school. My 1st cousin got picked up too. I was like, "OMG! He is such a dumbo! My mommy didn't pick me up." I was mad that almost everyone left school with no HW.
But, then my house has a clear view of the twin towers and all I see was smoke.
I was like...NO?
So then, I hear the news and they said a plane crashed two buildings. I started crying becasue since my mom didn't pick me up...she died. She never picked up her phone. Fortunately, for me everyone I knew was safe. My mom came in at 11.
She took pictures of the towers from her job! Those are very memorable. It shows us the horrors of life. It shows us we will never forget those who died. I wish this didn't happen..but it sorta did. Looking at these answers, mines is pretty lame. But, everyone was sorta affected because of 9/11. I still feel sad, because I used to pretend I lived in those two buildings and that was my home. I wish, every morninq i see those twin towers standinq. Guess It won't come true.

I live on Long Island. I was in the 4th grade, and they didn't tell us what happened. Something about the Trade Center, but I only knew the towers by the "Twin Towers". I got off the bus and walked into the house, my mom's crying and watching the tv.. the images are embedded in my mind. Such horror was seen that day and we all still feel that empty pang when looking at the skyline. It's just not the same anymore.

The kids had just went to school. I Heard about the first plane on tv and then when the second happened I got really scared. Spoke to my neighbors and sisters on the phone and we thought we were at war. So we went to the school to pull the kids out (almost thinking that if we're at war and going to die at least we'll be together.)

I was at work in rosedale queens. Saw the whole thing from a tv set in the waiting area. my boss let me out at 11am. I was hoping to get the bus across the whitestone bridge but that wasn't happening (i don't drive). so I took the bus to astoria, to the triboro bridge.

I had to walk the triboro bridge to get home to the bronx. I saw a man driving with a knife and he had crazed look on his face. And I saw the 2 pillars of smoke billowing from the pit. It took me 5 1/2 hours to get home.

It was then I found out my 3 cousins got out from the south tower safely and were in a hotel in hackensack nj

I was porgy fishing off the western Point Lookout jetty when I saw thick, black smoke bellowing into the sky. At the time, I had no idea what happened. I lost a friend, NYPD, my neighbor lost her husband, and I found out this weekend, a friend lost her cousin.
