People born in the 1940's are senior citizens or dead??? Boy, youngin', you sure hit below the belt with that one. Ha.
You are so right, though, so quick to blame, but seldom
say, thank you. Guess it is a sign of these last days which
have been increasing in wickedness since Christ's days
on the earth, in flesh that is. Jesus said these things would
happen and guess what??? They have happened. Of course
that's just an accident. So much foretold, and still they can't
see; "I have blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with
their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them"; John
12:40.
More christians have helped these people & have even died in their efforts, than those who did the harm; but were those
who did evil really christian??? We weren't there, were we, so how can we say what is true or false. God knows. We can only do, with the life God has given us, the best He blesses us to do.
Be kinder to us old guys in the future. Thanks!

Although old enough to be a grandpa (& and I am), that
took place many years before I was around. None of us
should be held accountable for anything in the past
except the "original sin" that we all carry. Now is the
time however that we start taking responsibility for
the present and its effects on our prodjeny

I DO agree with you, but you must realize what at least SOME of them are saying Chrisitans did...they are talking about the religion, and the ones in it, not you, not your parents, and maybe not even someone related to you, but the religion and the ones who did it...kinda like how black people go to me saying that I'm responsible for slavery...well, my family didn't come over to America until WWII and my other side was workin' right next to them....so I'm not responsible...or anything as such, I agree with you but understand the context in what they say....hope I helped...

Me.... I'm tired of being blamed for things I had no control over. Really tired of it. I lost a friend in middle school once who said that I repressed "her people" etc.... and I said wait... wait... I never owned a plantation!
So be it though .... the best thing to learn from this is not to hate anyone for anything, just have your opinion and do your best to express it without hurting someone, of course in this section... anything is fair game and we're all here to express our views that others might not agree with .... so be it.

I personally do not feel responsiblity from before I was born, but take some credit of the blame for things which have come to pass since that time. We all have done things in our lifetimes which we can take credit for.

You must recognize past mistakes in order not to repeat them. That's why we teach history in school. That and evil men always, ALWAYS start with good intentions, I'm sure all Hitler wanted to do, in his own mind, was rebuild Germany as a superpower. Religious zealots are always dangerous, remembering their misdeeds in the will of their "God" is important.

I know what you are saying. In England we had to apologise for slavery recently. Well, that was so long ago my great grandparents wouldn't have been around. It does get a little too much sometimes.

I am! I still get people asking when I am going to apologize for the Mountain Meadows Massacre. I say if the people that did are alive, they should, but I won't!

In Ezekiel, God says quite plainly that He does NOT want to hear the proverb, "The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge."
Every soul is responsible for his own actions before God, and the soul that sins will die. I will not die for the sins of my fathers.
