I know it is an unorthodox question.

I am writing an article in which I have to describe the 'below standard medical facilities in a country" -- I was wondering if someone can paste a link here which describes any country's below avg medical care and facilities. Thanks alot !!!

If you were confined to the USA, I would opine that "below standard" would be a facility that failed to match up with most of the requirements of JCAHO, the Joint Commission (of Health Care Organizations).

For Third World countries, there may be a standard set by UNICEF or UNESCO, or similar. It could conceivably be a long list to include water and sewage treatment, availability of physicians and other health care workers, status of hospital facilities, infant and childhood mortality, etc.
