are you or the person on the receiving end of the prayer open to prayers from faiths other than your own???
This is a very important ethic of mine that I have permission first.

I'm with you on the permission thing. It's one reason why I'm very careful about it. I have on occassion just sent to prayers to the persons highest good. If it is mean to be accepted it will be. If it's healing then yes, persmission is a must

People who do not deal ing with healing and such do not know that it is wrong to send out prayers to those they don't have permission for.

Yeah there aren't suppose to be prayer request because this is an question and answer forum. There isn't suppoe to be chit chat, which we all do anyway. lol

It never hurts for prayers to be asked from anyone. Even if I do not believe the people are able to get their prayers above the ceiling, it does not hurt to ask for prayers. If I am judging a person by their actions and am wrong, I know that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much, so I could be giving up a wonderful opportunity if I refuse prayers from other people.

I am a fundamental Christian in that I believe exactly what the Bible teaches, and believe I should rightly divide the word of truth to know what I should do. I can be wrong and do not want to stay wrong. I seek wisdom. I can always learn more.

I always just take them as a nice gesture....if someone of another faith is willing to say a prayer for me, I just think it's very nice of them. And if I say one for them, hopefully it will be taken the same way. It's just wishing well for each other. Blessed Be.

I'm a Christian so that's important to establish. For me, I would happily pray for someone of another faith as long as I am not praying for something sinful for that person. The reason is that I know that I am praying to the true God. I would not however, ask someone of another faith (non-christian, interdenominational is usually fine) to pray for me because their religion is man's manifestation of a need for God, so they are therefore praying to a false idol and that would be sin for me. Hope this helps.

Absolutely. To me, religion is like a cup of coffee; some may pick it up by the handle, others may pick it up by the base. However it is done, it is still picked up.
