Do i think there is something better for me somewhere else? I think that is what you are asking, right? I think there are always better things but it is a matter of pursuing them and investing time that at this moment I dont have.

The only other way to go beyond a cubicle is to become an Executive Assistant for a CEO of the company, but without experience or a foot in the door, it's unlikely. Depending on the company, even some EAs work in a cubicle. In NYC where space is scarce, a cubicle is a good thing. It's your space. I work with 3 other women and we all are in cubicles next to each other. This is the current mode (cost-efficient) that most companies are using. Besides, it's not the cubicle that matters, it's your job title, function, and who you report to.

Would something else be better than the current job based only on a cubicle? Not necessarily. A job is the sum of so many, many things, and office decor is only a tiny tip of the iceberg.

Well working in a cubicle cuts off distractions and provides a bit of privacy so thats a benefit to the company.
Its up to the individual though, some people just can't stand to be shut in and not have any views to look at but their computer screen.

whether its a cubicle or a room... ur lucky enough to find a job... so whats wrong with working in a cubicle??? do u really need a big room???
