Seriously, do you think that since I'm a Muslim that I'm a terrorist? Oh, come on now! The only thing I ever terrorise is an ice cream cone once in a while from McDonald's. Or my husband at, well, that's innappropriate. Anyway, you say not a single Muslim speaks out? This one does. And so do these leaders and average Muslim people. Still want to say we are silent??

I'm sure a majority of Muslims are horrified about the acts of terrorists.
Unfortunately when Muslims DO speak out against terrorism, the media doesn't cover it.
I saw a documentary made in England that showed Muslim's real attitudes towards terrorism, and it showed that it was the same 4 or 5 radical clerics, and a few dozen of their followers, that were responsible for virtually ALL of the footage of violent protest, flag burning, rabble-rousing and negative footage that is shown to the world.
If there's 1000 people peacefully marching to raise awareness about something, and 12 morons in the crown burning a Union Jack and waving signs about beheading infidels, who do you think is going to be shown on the evening news?

Most people dont think all Muslims are terrorists. I do belive however that we are mis informed of the belifs of the Muslim religion because all we ever hear about , or see is terror related. Another thing that kinda bothers me about Muslims is the way they are extreme in our society the black Muslims especially. Again this may be a result of the media distorting my views. I want to meet a peaceful Muslim who doesnt hate any race or religion. Do you know any?

No, I don't think you are a terrorist if you are Muslim.
No, I don't think that you are an illegal immigrant if you are Mexican.
No, I don't think that you only eat fried chicken if you are Black.
No, I don't think you are trashy because you have a lot of tattoos.
ALL People need to stop passing judgment against other people solely based on looks, ethnicity, religious beliefs, etc. etc.
Good for you for standing up for yourself and speaking your mind -- that is what the Freedom of Speech is all about!

You largely list one source (islam for today). Many do speak out. Why then is it not reported by the media do you think? The media would seemingly want to eat it up if muslims came out against terrorism as it would make Bush look pretty bad.
I didn't answer because I am not really educated on islam. I have little opinion on this particular subject, but since you chose to blast in a question, I decided to answer.
I noticed much of the other source is you tube etc. Why is there nothign on MSNBC or CNN or CBS or ABC or any of your other liberal bastions. How about the NY Times or others. If you have sources showing the majority of islam speaking against such things then post your sources.

the main problem with that silence is that in all religions in general, people dint break rank and start condemning their fellow believers, even if they believe it is wrong but understand the justification
Where i live, the Muslim leaders were very quick to denounce terrorism in general as "bad" so i have no issue with that.
The problem is that terroists and religious fundamentals are mostly found in arab countries , which are muslim. leading people to generalize that all muslims are terroists

i follow Islam and i speak out
listen to Sheik Nazim of the Nqashabandi tariqa or Sheik Hissam Kabani these to great men allways talk out but many do not want to listen as they are practacing Sufis take time to listen to the Muslims in your comunity and see what thay are doing or saying we are not all bad
