It is not possible. The Hospital Corps is manned exclusively by enlisted personnel. Officers are in the Medical Corps, Dental Corps, or Nurse Corps. And if you were a corpsman and became an officer either as an LDO, or if you did so by getting a degree, you'd no longer be part of the Hospital Corps, the same applies for Warrant Officers.

Yes, you can. YOu would no longer be a corpsman though you would be a medical officer. You have to have a college degree, as far as I know, but I'm not sure if you have to have gone all the way through Medical School... If you are already enlisted, you should go talk to your Command Career Counselor, possibly about the Sta-21 program if you really are interested in a commissioning. Good LUck

If he completes a four-year degree and completes officer training, I cannot see a reason why a former Corpsman could not be an officer.
We had an E-6 chaplain's assistant finish college through the military and was accepted for transfer to OCS.

Yes. You can apply for a commission in the Health Care Administraton section of the Navy Medical Service Corps. To do it with only a bachelor's degree you must have attained the rate and rating of Hospital Corpsman First Class and have been in that rating at least one year.
How do I know that? That's how I did it!

a corpsman is not a nurse...a nurse would be an officer.
It looks like your looking for a way to be a corpsman and an officer? if that is the case I hope the note above helps.
