1 Thessalonians 5:17 says Christians should pray without ceasing.

If you are born again then is God in you?
Did Jesus say "I will never leave you"?
Would prayer then be communication with God who is always with you and in you?

I'm a Muslim but let me answer your question about praying without ceasing;

I think there's no religion that has this concept except Islam, as a Muslim:
you can go to work, and still be praying,
you can go to beach and enjoy your time, and still be praying,
you can practice your hobbies, and still be praying,
you can go to stadium to watch your favorite team playing its final, and still be praying,
you can go to club and play a football match, and still be praying,
you can go on an outing with your friends, and still be praying.

You may ask and how come, let me tell you, brother;
In Islam, worshiping is not limited in going to the worshiping house and practice some prayers, then go out to life and forget all about faith and its teachings, this may be the way in other religions, which are either false or distorted, but in Islam, it's different, you're with Allah in every moment, you can supplicate to Him, you can confide to Him, you can ask Him whatever you want in this life or the other, and even without all of these you can have a good intention in every thing you do, unless it's contrary to what Allah orders us to do or to avoid.

I hope it's now more clear for you how worshiping in Islam is different.

Is it possible for me to sit and pray for hours upon hours?

No...I'm not that fortunate to be able to sit in one place for long periods of time.

However, when I started working on the rig, I used to h ave to do some very repetive work. And this let me have a full 12 hour day where I was doing the same thing over and over. Whether it was cutting chemical sacks and dumping them in the hopper, or if I was standing at the top of the derrick. latching back a stand, I was praying.

Has always been th closest time for me in my prayer walk.

I am not Christian. But i believe you can have a prayerful spirit. I believe you can live in a state of almost unceasing prayer. I am human. I sometimes lose touch with what is most important. I have called it auto-prayer. There are times I realize I've been in prayer all day.

If we dedicate all that we are and all that we do to,with, for and in Jesus and turn to Him frequently through the day, then we are permitting the Spirit to pray through us always.
The Jesus Prayer is also helpful

To me, it is! Prayers are pure conversation where I "lift up" others, my own pain and ask for guidance in my life!

I usually leave the line to communication open with God so I rarely close my prayers as I do my duties as I have many things to talk to my Creator about.

"He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me I am His own! And, the joy we share as we tarry there...none other has ever known!" "In the Garden" This song represents my heart!

I cannot spend my life without Him! I do not wish too! He is my Savior and once you are in His presence...there is nothing that compares! NOTHING!

You may recall that you and I recently had an exchange of messages wherein I stated that I try to live each day with an "attitude" of prayer. Your question is what I was talking about.

1st question.

Most people "pray without ceasing," and aren't aware of it. Paul just asked us especially to be aware of our thoughts, that they are prayers, that will be answered in like kind.
2nd,
God is everwhere, in you, in me, in the neighbor down the street. Not just in the "born again."
3rd
Yes, He said that.
4th
Yes, prayer is speaking to 'Him,' meditation is listening, who is always listening to your thoughts and prayers. 'He' is always there, inside, because *'He' is that part of you that never dies. Spirit. One of the attributes of God, is 'ever present,' and another, is 'all energy.'

* We say He , but to be just as correct, She. Like our mother, only 101 times more loving.

We should include God in everything we do.
But we don't.
We should pray all the time.
but we don't.
That's why we need a Savior.
Thank you Jesus for forgiving me for being human and the stupid mistakes I make. Amen

No. The Buddhist monks and my aunt Gladys do it for me. I only talk to God.
