im trying to cut down the hassle factor, i read that revolution is good for heart,fleas,tcks, mange do you all know if this is good stuff?

I use it on both of my dogs...works like a charm. The only time one of them ended up with ticks was when we made a trip into the woods and he ran around through bushes/trees, etc.

Revolution is indeed good stuff, but it doesn't treat ticks, it's Frontline that does that.
Revolution does treat heartworm and hookworm as well as fleas, and sarcoptic (fox) mange. Bear in mind that it isn't a complete wormer, as it doesn't treat tapeworms. Frontline Plus is probably the most complete flea treatment, but Revolution is very good for fleas and covers more parasites obviously.

Revolution is used To Prevent Heartworm; to kill Adult Fleas and Prevent Flea Eggs From Hatching; to control and treat Ear Mite Infestation; to treat And Control Sarcoptic Mange and The American Dog Tick.

When KkingS went to the woods, the ticks and/or fleas that got on her dog would have died when they bit the dog, so she doesn't have to worry about them being a problem. Revolution is one of the good meds as far as I've heard. I just stay away from low-level ones like Hartz which I don't think really does much. It also doesn't cost much, so you get what you pay for.

Revolution does not work as well as frontline for fleas. Revolution kills fleas, prevents against heartworm disease, intestinal parasites. It does NOT protect at all against ticks! I strongly recemmend switching (when your pup is do for another dose in 1 month from when you first applied the revolution) to frontline that kills fleas (better) and also protects against ticks. I would also recemmend getting your dog on a monthly heartworm pill that is also given once a month for heartworm and intestinal parasites. This is the best thing for your dog! We sell revolution and frontline at my clinic i work for.

heard good things about it. My vet uses it. I tried frontline and didnt work for my schnauzers. k9 advantage works really well on them, so i found something i like and wont try anything else. My vet said that different medications work on different types of dogs better than others. k9 advantage is good for ticks fleas and mosquitos.
