I certainly don't object. I pray it daily...and it is just as you say...a meditation on the life/mysteries of Christ.

I very much appreciate you explaining it once and for all. It gets tiresome explaining it daily. :-) I do hope everyone reads it.

In His Love,
j

The Rosary is a beautiful meditation on the life of Christ. When we pray it, we reflect on the events recorded in the Gospels. Let's not forget that the actual prayers said (Ave Maria, Pater Noster, Gloria Patri, and the Salve Regina) are all either right out of Scripture or heavily based on Scripture. I can't imagine why any Christian would object to it, and I wish that our Protestant brothers and sisters would embrace the Rosary as a way to be closer to God.

CJ, sometimes I'm not sure if you're just trying to get the Catholics on this forum riled up or if you're actually serious. In any case, I will pray for you, my brother in Christ. In fact, I will offer a Rosary in your name this evening, that you may find peace to replace the unreasoning hatred in your heart.

I love the Rosary and pray it just about every day. It's like having a miniature Bible as I meditate on the events of Christ's life, death, and resurrection. The Rosary is a beautiful way to pray, and it reminds me of the price that Christ paid for our redemption.

And CJ, I can only hope and pray that God will forgive you for your hatred of your Catholic brothers and sisters in Christ. TheRaven said it the best -- you need to grow up and figure out that you don't know it all.

I don't object to it, I have had many prayers answered through it, I pray it daily with my family, it is a beautiful way to remember the life of Jesus and meditate on it.

The rosary is my favorite prayer. Those who oppose it have no understanding of its purpose or value.

awww look, isn't CJ a cute kid? He must be home schooled. Though, most of us will be glad when he gets past that age of thinking he knows everything. A little maturity goes a long way.

The Rosary is truly very powerful. It is NOT vain repetition of prayers. If it is we're all gonna be disappointed in heaven when we're all supposed to sing "Hallelujah" for all eternity!

The Rosary is indeed the most biblical prayer that one can pray.

I don't object to it, unless you make me do it. I would never object to any form of prayer unless it hurts someone or is forced upon others.

I don't really know what you do. . as long as you just use it to focus your meditation on Christ (and Him alone) then I don't see a problem. And as long as your truly focused on HIm and not just going thru the motions.

some will argue that Jesus said "to not pray like the pagans"

but what He meant was that the pagans would babble and yell to get attention from their gods.

Jesus Himself prayed in repetition(see garden of Gethsome)

anyway, I don't object to it, i do one every Sunday.
