I don't think that would be safe for the unborn baby.

salam definitly. i was 4 months pregnant last year and i fasted every single day so i wouldnt have to make it up later. the first day was the worst i was throwing up and miserable but did not break fast. after that God made it easy for me and i made it the whole month. this year i a pregnant again i am now 8 weeks. and i plan on fasting again this year. because if you dont fast you will have to make it up and nothing is harder than fasting when noone else is. but there are rules , if you feel you are going to pass out then rest a bit if it doesnt stop then you need to drink and break the fast. but since you are only 6 weeks i dont think yo0u have any symptoms quite yet so ramadan should be easy for you inshallah. my doc said a womans body produces what the baby needs, so even if yo udont eat all day as long as you wake early enough for breakfast , and then eat and drink alot after maghrib you will be just fine and so will the baby. .. i knew a women who didnt fast while pregnant then the next year she was still breastfeeding and chose not to fast for that . i think she is working on having to make up almost 3 years of missed fasts , plus as each ramadan goes by its another month to make up plus all the missed from previous years. just go ahead and fast it will be easier in the long run that worrying about making it all up. and you will get more rewards because it is a bigger struggle. bless you this ramadan sister and congrats and good luck

I didn't eat enough during my first pregnancy because I didn't have an appetite and guess what? My baby had to be delivered by an emergency c-section 6 weeks early because there were complications and low birth weight. Eat when you are hungry while pregnant - it's necessary. God will know your intentions are for the safety and health of your baby.

NO! Sorry. Pregnant women should not fast. What you can do however is to make sure your calorie and nutrition intake remains steady by doing a "liquid fast" in which you can substitute solid food with nutritional drinks such as Boost or Slim Fast. You should obviously not attempt this if you have gestational diabetes (which hits earlier in some pregnancies than in others). ALWAYS talk to your doctor first to see if they recommend you go ahead with the fast.

Ask your physician.
Baby's health comes first.
At least Ramadhan fast is only sunup to sunset.
Would it be permissable to have a healthy snack in the middle of the fast day?
Again - ask the doctor!!

No. Pregnant women are specifically excluded from the fasting requirements of Ramadan.

No. Pregnant women are exempt from fasting. However, they must feed the poor in place of the fast.

From a health standpoint for you and the baby, NO. From a religious standpoint, you have to ask someone at your mosque. I'm sure there are special considerations for pregnant mothers...hope so anyway.

Consult your doctor.. He/she will probably tell you not no fast... When a fetus is growing it will take the nutrients etc. it needs whether those come from the mothers diet or from the mothers reserves (I.E. calcium from mothers bones etc.) Fasting while pregnant puts both the mother and the baby at risk...

NO - it would be very bad for the important growing stage of the baby which is right now!
If you normally fast - then you now have the best excuse to stuff your face and make the people around you suffer!
Could be quite funny actually!
