and as i lined up my shot the club face was to contact the ball ,causing it to wable but not move from its position ,would this count as a stroke

ive asked a few people who play and they say they wouldnt wory about it ,but how dose the PGA rule on this

I don't believe it would off the tee. However, if you are in the sand you are not to make contact at ALL with the ball until you actually swing.

If the ball moved from original position, replace ball and one stroke penalty. If ball just wobbles in place, no penalty and play it as it lies.

It's all about the intent.

If you were not meaning to hit the ball, then replace it with no penalty. Otherwise, replace the ball, and take a one (1) stroke penalty.

If the ball wobbles and returns to the original position, there is no penalty.

It "moves" only if it leaves the spot where it is, and goes to another spot.

"Wobbling" is not moving.

See decision 18/2. (USGA, not PGA, makes the rules.)

no stroke as long as there was no contact with the ball......practice swing as it were, and the wabble didnt improve the lie......good luck
