He's your God as well as mine. I don't care how you feel, how wrongly you were raised or what you say to offend me, the world if falling apart under our feet it's about time we as humans stop taking all the credit for what has been done good or bad at anytime God is sooooo real that once you experience him you know what all the Christians are talking about. God is no joke and no lie It's about time humans stop letting the Lucifer minipulate their minds into thinking that life is just... and existance is just... If theres no God why are we here what is existance and why is anything anything. It all makes so much sence. And when the end does come, you'll see what I mean your gonna wish you read this and changed your life around. Imagine all the trillions of people in hell saying "man I wish I would have listened" and " If I could only go back to earth and warn everyone who is like I was". What I'm saying is if I could beg you to come to paradise with me I would. please ppl. lets all go.

Your question reveals that the foolishness which serves you as a substitute for knowledge and reason is a logical fallacy (a flaw in thinking) known as the "Argument From Incredulity"... which is a sub-category of the "Argumentum ad Ignorantiam" (Argument From Ignorance). It is also known as the 'Divine Fallacy'. It goes something like this: "I can't conceive of (or imagine) how this might have come to be; therefore, God did it."

That does not point to a limitation of science, or of nature... rather, it illuminates a limitation of YOUR knowledge and/or intellect. Also, it is intellectually dishonest, since it does not (as scientists do) ACKNOWLEDGE the limitation of knowledge... it merely invokes the fanciful idea of a supernatural creator-entity to manifest the ILLUSION that your ideas correlate to 'facts'. Finally... it reveals that you presume, for yourself, a form of omniscience... thinking that goes like this: "If this were understandable, then I should be able to understand (or imagine) it. I do NOT (can not) understand (or imagine) it... therefore it is NOT understandable... and since it is NOT understandable (by me), it logically follows that it cannot be 'true'. Therefore... God did it." (See? Right back to the Argument from Incredulity.)

'Faith' (wishful, magical thinking) is a substitute for evidence.

'Belief' (the internalized 'certainty' that you are privy to the 'truth' pertaining to some fundamental aspect of existence and/or reality) is a substitute for knowledge... i.e., the ILLUSION of knowledge.

faith + belief = self-delusion and willful ignorance

"The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance... it is the illusion of knowledge." ~ Daniel Boorstin
****************
"When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called Religion." ~ Robert M. Pirsig

THINK about this... seriously... THINK... you believe that a cosmic Jewish zombie, who is his own father, can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced, by a talking snake with legs, to eat from a magical tree... (etc.)... and that there is something horribly wrong with people who ARE NOT so gullible and droolingly stupid as to believe such outrageously ridiculous codswallop.

Now, let me tell you something... SANE people do not believe such nonsense.

Are you okay don? Here let me help you up, shake it off buddy you'll be alright. There, take a deep breath. How many fingers am I holding up? Wow you got your **** handed to you, you need to be more careful. Now don't do that again man, you should really be more careful. Listen, I first started to have doubts about religions a long time ago. It's when I saw the first pictures of dinosaurs and their bones, then I found out about the time-lines of earth and human evolution. Then there's all kinds of intellectual information pouring in from great minds of science that explain our universe. It's truly amazing how little mankind new a 100 yrs ago, let alone 2000 years ago. You here what I'm saying, here have a drink of water. Now I want you to sneak up on Duck Phup's answer, read carefully, don't try to read it all at once, you might have to come back to it a couple of times. Soak that in okay, and be careful in the future, cause I know first hand that people on this site can crucify you for spelling mistakes, let alone messages of phallusies (Malaprop). Hang in there you'll come around. Remember there are other books at the library besides the GOOD book.

Maybe you should've phrased that differently. I'm a Christian too, but I know if you post a question like that, all the infidels are going to come out of the woodwork to answer it and criticize you.
Why don't you go to either philosophy or religion and try to help some of the lost souls drifting around there by answering their questions?

Hun, I use to be like you. I would try to tell people how I thought, but the truth really is you can't. Everyone has their own opinions and frankly don't give a crap even if their dog started talking and told them God is real. Whether God be a delusion or a mastermind, its not up to everyone else to decide. The decision rest soley upon you.

The truth is that if people would stop relying on religion to get them through life we would have much less of these problems in the world... look at where christianity has set up shop... not one of these societies are capable of justice only different forms of oppression.
