This is as serious as it gets ladies and gentlemen. No jokes, no venom, this one hit me today and I have to ask it. The Bible, the book held so near and dear to by christians says what I have written in the question.
Based on this verse, God's lack of intervention in the god-awful issues plaguing humanity (Pick one: Darfur, Iraq, Hurricane Katrina, etc) makes him a sinner. Certainly the God who laid down the law should be bound to it, and if he created the law certainly he knows it. His loving nature definitely must tell him that alliviating humanity's woes would be the right thing to do. Therefore his inactivity makes him a sinner, correct?
If you refute this, do not be scared, spit venom and run. Enable your email options and then state your case, otherwise don't bother.
Atheists... your welcome!

You have multiple problems with your question here.
When one sins they are sinning against God. God is sinless.
These plagues, crimes, etc. are mostly created by man. If every man and woman only had sex with the one they were married too; then sex illnesses would not be around. AS God told us to do.
Sometimes what seems like the worst can be for the better. IF God has a lot of people creating something bad, that we don't know about; God might sent in a storm to fix the problem? Rescuing many more?
God has made cures for illnesses that Drug Companies do all they can to get rid of, so they can have more money.
The Bible says we "must chose between God and Money".
Since most people today put themselves before God, God may create stroms to get people to remember Him again? I don't know and you don't know. Only God knows everything.
Another problem you have is that you are using the King James Bible. King James was a very devoted Catholic that did not want the Bible in English, in his country. He could not stop them from being smuggled in. So he ordered his made with the instructions to totally change the meanings of 400 words (times each used) and that no extra information was to be put at the bottom of the page. It even has "unicorn"s in it.
It took at least a couple of centuries for it to become popular. To many serious Christians could see his lies in it and would not use it. And many of us still don't.
Over the 400 years since it was made, 800 to 900 words have totaly changed their meanings (times each used). So where a word means ____ to us, it had a totally different meaning then.
I would recamend that you use a more moderen Bible like the NIV, ASV, or NLT.
Also back in 1945, a cave was found with Bibles witten about 200A.D. And it was discovered that from writting and rewritting the Bible for 1,400 years that a lot of mistakes were put in. Modern Bibles have fixed these and put the info. at the bottom of the page.

My response:
When Adam and Eve originally sinned - they didn't just eat the fruit of a tree - they disobeyed God. That was the point. They said that they were better than God to decide what was good and bad for themselves. If God was going to stop anything - he would have started there. However, what would that have proven? God had already created heavenly spirit creatures - man was the last thing on the creation list. If they saw that God would just destroy whatever disobeyed him, what kind of God would that make him? Yes, he's used his power to destroy wickedness in the past - admittedly he has to make sure that his prophesies come true - God's name means "he who causes to become." So if he has set prophesies, he has to make sure they come true (like the messiah - or in protecting "his people" in the old testament. I know a lot of people are going to point fingers here - but if you look into the scriptures, God only destroys those that are adament in disobeying him and he ALWAYS gave them warning in one way or another.)
So when mankind disrespected God in that way - God, in his wisdom and loving-kindness for humans, decided to let humans prove themselves wrong.
Has man ever been able to create a world without war? Power struggles? Racism? Not yet.
So far we're proving that Adam and Eve's decision was a bad one. As the Bible also says - "man has dominated man to his injury." So every time that something bad happens, and people want to blame God, all they have to do is look back to see why. We suffer because this period of time has not yet come to completion. Because it is up to each one of us to answer for ourselves whether or not we want to live in a world under God's rule - or man's. God's inactivity does not make him a sinner - it proves his love because, again, according to the scriptures, God does not want to destroy anyone, he desires all to attain repentance to recieve everlasting life. For that to happen, people need time to change - and be warned - before the end of this system of things can come.

here it is speaking of humans. if a human doesnt do good he is sinning if he is capable of doing the good deed. God is above thiese things. humans need to worry about hell and heaven by doing good deeds. dont twist the words. that is why i became muslim noone has ever twisted the quran to suit themselves or thoughts. whereas the bible has been changed over the course of its life to suit the people reading it which should have never been done. God allows these things to happen in order to test the faith of hi believers. and also if there are alot of bad things going on in a certain area by doing this he tries to make people stop and change their ways, as far as katrina goes isnt that where they have mardi gras the drinking the partying the sex and drugs??? byt cleaning it out it was giving the people a chance to clean up their act and think any moment they can die, and they need to straighten up. but as soon as they got it cleaned up again what did they do, mardi gras party drinking . they learned nothing...

that doesn't make Him a sinner. if you keep on reading the good book it will tell you, there will be tribulation on earth worse then anyone has ever seen before. God is loving and merciful but He also shows His wrath on them that are disobedient. the bible also tells us that through many hardships we will go through to enter His kingdom. the bible also tells us the creation shouldn't question the creator. its not meant for us to know everything right now, the only thing were suppose to do is have faith, and strive to the finish line to wear the crown. if you dont like my answers I'm sorry but this is what i believe. my email is already available for you and anyone else.

No one is a sinner. There are only law abiding and law breaking people. The law is made by government not by a nonexistent god and hopefully that will always be true. We should never sink into the barbaric dark ages again where religion rules.

You might want to define 'good' and 'evil' before you ask this question. Not everyone might agree with your definitions of those concepts. Logic and/or 'reason' require precondition of some sort to operate effectively. Still, I believe you are interested in arguing, and not in resolving anything. In that case, don't bother with the email...I will not answer it.

We were born in sin and shaped in iniquity.Psalm 107. we rebell against God's word and scorn his council. God spoke about man. Man knows right from wrong yet we play insane. Mark 5. We know about God but refuse to call on him and come to him before it goes to far. We yell ( free will) and when these things come? God has already saved you before if we think about it but we never gave thanks or spoke to him. Now you say God is a sinner for not doing good for someone. Your very breath belongs to him. Do you lack anything? We should ask him instead of always assuming God should just do something good. "If he is God?" When you need it done. God is not a slave or Gennie in a bottle. God is a creator of all things a Greatness that know one can explain. Yet we make him a small part in the world. We blame every thing on him. Exodus 4. God knows you and me. He knows what we need before we ask. But he wants us to ask. Now one thing I can say is the things you speak about sure gets ones attention. God allows the earth and Satan to do things to get mans attention. Yet we get upset and soon we forget. We need God to live in this world not only for ourselves but for our childrens children to the third and forth generation. We think we sin against each other when we treat others wrong, but we sin against God. We refuse to know his word and do what the Lord says. God's word is what saves men and women's lives. To act on the word of God! Matthew 12: 46-49. "For whoever does the will of my father in heaven is my brother sister and mother" says Jesus. I love God and I know he loves me.

Yeah these things just happen God or Satan play no role in anything because they don't exist, people just follow the ones before them and don't see things realistically, damn shame because all the proof in the world is there that God has been disproven.

Is it not good to unconditionally forgive without being asked? Is it good to allow evil to tempt your children? What was the verse about having a millstone tied around the neck? Aren't we god's children?
I'd say that you have a very valid point.
