To me it sounds like something Professor Ian Wilmut, a biologist and cloning researcher at the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh, Scotland, and co-author, "The Second Creation," who is best known as the "father" of Dolly-the-sheep, might have said. However, I cannot source it. Here is a quote from Professor Wilmut:

"I am concerned that society tends to be frightened by innovations while taking for granted the treatments that are available. We would make the most rapid progress if we recognized that it was earlier research that led to the present treatments and if we were excited by the challenges and opportunities that will arise from new research."
