Did you switch foods? If so, did you gradually mix the new in with what it was used to?
It depends on what you are calling "good quality"....some people consider Pedigree and Ol' Roy good quality.

Has the puppy had all of its shots? Is it vomiting or does it have diarhea?

Because its eating dried food! Dogs are carnivores and therefore need a diet rich in meat which in turn is moist, biscuits are dry! I have had dogs all my life and have never, ever given them dried food for dinner except as a treat. My friends uncle was a siamese cat breeder and his cats kept dying earlier than was expected, his vet put this down to a diet of dried food only, apparently the dry food dries out their kidneys and liver! Don't know how true that is but i've never agreed with people who feed their animals on this cattle food! Please change your baby's diet to tinned dog food, of a reputable brand, with a few cat biscuits mixed into it and see how it gets on? by all means give it some biscuit treats, mine have access to theirs all day long and my animals have always lived to a grand old age! Give it a whole raw carrot to chew on, as well as some raw broccoli and you'll have no more upset tummy's! Offer your little one a spearmint polo sweet, good for their digestion and gases, mine have a pack a day! Might end up toothless at 17 but they've never complained ha ha. Good luck.

several reasons but it depends what you mean by good quality dried food. Firstly does it have wheat or sugars in it and secondly is that all the pup eats? A dry food diet isnt the best thing for a dog, depsite what your vet tries to sell to you. Also it could have nothing what so ever to do with the dried food. You need to take your dog to the vets.

Don't know what breed the dog is or what the dried food is, could we have more info?

Puppies like babies can get stomach upsets really easy, just cos its good quality food doesn't mean the little love will love it they get fed up like us try changing food or sometimes give a little meat, leave lots of water, these dry foods can sometimes dehydrate.

I feed fizz bakers meaty meals, but she steals the cats Felix when she wants variety, may have stolen something from bin I'm sure it will be fine though.

Maybe the puppy is eating to much dog food, causeing a tummy problem. Or some dogs have alergtes to certain dog foods, so maybe you need to take them to the vet and have it looked at.

Another note: Puppies tend to chew on EVERYTHING, so they may have eaten something (like a penny or a kids toy) when you weren't looking and its causing tummy problems.

I suggest if its been a week of problems to take your puppy to the vet asap.

Check the ingredients. Some dogs (especially small ones) are allergic to corn. Others are allergic to preservatives. It is also possible that your puppy is eating something in the yard that doesn't agree. What ever the case is, see a vet. This has gone on too long. You are risking dehydration and plenty of other issues.

Because diet isn't the only possible cause of a tummy upset. There are a zillion possible causes!!

Has your puppy had sickness/diarrhoea for this long?! I really hope you've been to a vet, this puppy could be ill - is he vaccinated?

Not all pups like dried food. We changed our puppy from a wet food to a dry puppy food as told to do by our vet but he hated it and hardly touched the dry stuff. I now feed him on a natural diet of chicken, rice, lamb mince, beef mince and come carrot and broccoli. He is now a lot happier and his poo is firmer and smells a lot less than it did before. He now seems to be thriving.
You should try it.
