I am dating a man that is not a Christian, like me, and makes me feel horrible. Whenever I try to break up with him though he comes back saying something really sweet that makes me like him more. Are there any scriptures I can refer to that will help my strength in letting him go?!?!

I went through the same thing sweetheart..fortunately I got through it and have found my match made in heaven.
Here some scriptures that helped me:
1 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Also Gal 5:22-23
Does he have the fruit if the spirit?
1 Corinthians 13:1-8
This will show you if you are really in love. I hope this helps:)
Just in case there is any confusion of about Proverbs 4:20...(umm..haha)....this is what it really says: My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

Sweety, you need to get out of this relationship before you become mentally unstable/damaged. I can use scripture, but, how about we use those instincts that God gave us.

The instinct to know that man should not treat a women this way.
The instinct to know that you deserve a man to protect you, not destroy you.
The instinct to know when to flee a bad situation.

God gave you these instincts to help you survive in this world.
Use them girl.

God can't help you. You're probably going to need some help with letting go, because you're too emotionally unstable to do it yourself. Choose a counselor, not God.

Obviously, the "unequally yolked" verse pops into my mind here......

You need to let this go....no matter how hard it is to do.
