as many times as you confess..

Does that mean you can just go on sinning? Paul talked about that in Romans 6:1-2 1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

and Romans 7:13-25 talks about sin. Paul knew how hard it was not to sin Paul talked about how he didn't want to sin but what he didnt want he did he even cried out O wretched man am I. Who can save me from this sin..His answer is Jesus Christ..

Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

14For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

15For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

16If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

17Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

18For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

19For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

20Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

24O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

25I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

He will forgive you as many times as you ask for forgiveness. I believe that that's the reason why Jesus died on the cross. We don't have and maximum amount of sins that we do, we have a forgiving God and all you have to do is confess and pray for guideness so that you won't do it again. If you do then ask for forgiveness and find somewhere in the bible that might be able to help you and just do your best but God is forgiving and there isn't a limit on his love and forgivenss.

Dear one, there is no limit on God's mercy. If you sincerely repent and have a firm intention of sinning no more, God will forgive you even if you fall again. Jesus said we should forgive seventy times seven. He will do no less. One of the great things about the Catholic faith is the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Penance, Confession). Having the assurance of Christ's ordained representative (the priest) of your receiving God's forgiveness and that the bonds of sin are "loosed in heaven" as well as on earth is the greatest joy.

May He hold you in the palm of His hand.

The Creator I worship is infinitely forgiving because his creation gets exactly the same, balanced reaction for their actions whether in this life or the next.

No eternal reward. No eternal punishment. You get exactly what you dish out. Now isn't THAT fair? You accept responsibility for your actions and all the while, you are given the chance to learn, grow and change for the better, perfecting your soul.

if you go by the bible as the guide to the nature of God in forgiveness you find the following

First, Jesus died for all the sins of man kind. He died for everyone's sins.

Next, you commit sins of commission, and omission. That is knowing, and not knowing, hard to confess what you don't know.

With that said, if you have confessed Jesus is Lord, and that he died for your sins and God raised him from the dead, your sins are forgiven, all of them for life.

the catch side of this is that you can't go out doing what you want. To do so, would result in your death. Yes I have verses to cover this also.

If however you have not accepted Jesus, though your sins are forgiven, you are punished for the one sin that will still put you in hell. That is the sin of disbelief. If you die not believing in Jesus you die in your sins.

if you die in your sins, then God rewards you according to the work of your hands. That is, the wages of sin, is death. You are punished in exact degree to your sin.

the choice is yours, ask for Jesus to forgive you sins or to die in your sins.

As long as the priests and bishops keep collecting all that loot from indulgences, ol' Yahweh will be double-gun-pointing out forgiveness like a mofo.

For the believer, their sins were forgiven, all of them, at the cross. For the unbeliever, they remain in their sins, unforgiven.

Always. If you believe that Jesus, who is God, died for your sins on the cross and rose again, you will always be forgiven all sins past, present, and future.

As often as you ask, but you have to ask. We, on the other hand, have to forgive without being asked as often as it happens.

So god who loves us unconditionally, conditionally forgives but we are to unconditionally forgive.

Quite a contradiction or mixed message....

Catholicism says: As many times as you can go to confession... and say whatever prayers the priests instructs you to say afterwards. Do people really think a god that is all powerful and created all things (not my beliefs) would be so stupid? "Oh, so you're sorry for murdering that whole family... well that makes it all better.... You are forgiven!" Ridiculous!
