Both my parents would say they were Church of England I suppose, although they never attend church unless for weddings, christenings and funerals. I was christened although never taken to church, but at the age of 12 decided to go on my own, this lasted for 5 years when some pretty nasty attitudes caused me to leave that church. I have been a spiritual seeker ever since, and found what is right for me about 25 years ago, but only realised it was called paganism about 10 years ago.

I was raised Catholic. Went to Catholic school, CYO (class for Catholic children not attending parochial school), went to mass every Sunday and holiday; was even studying to be an alter boy.
As it was, in CYO, I first heard something (from a priest, no less!) that made me realize that the Catholic Church does not disseminate the truth, though they know it. It was after that that I started to rebel against that church.
Over the years I started taking philosophy courses in collage. I repeatedly heard phrases like, "the Bible says... "; but all these declarations were contradictory. So, I was determined to find out for myself what the Bible REALLY said. I bought a large 4 version, parallel Bible and started to read.
I was amazed to find right off that NO ONE WAS TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT WHAT THE BIBLE SAID.
Afterwards, God did lead me to a group that WAS teaching true biblical doctrines.
All my attempts to pass on these things to the rest of my family met with disapproval at best. Most would not even entertain the idea that the Catholic Church was in error.
It's been over 20 years, and I continue to find truth in the Bible, and many, MANY more lies from the Catholic Church, as well as hypocrisy and confusion in the Protestants.
So, I most emphatically do NOT have the same religious beliefs as my parents.

Mum was raised Methodist, now Anglican
Dad was an atheist until university, now an Anglican Vicar (Church of England)
I am a non-denominational Christian, and attend church weekly and go to house-groups and 18-30 group for regular bible study and discussion.
One brother has become a Roman Catholic and runs a house group.
My other two brothers attend church regularly (can't remember specific denominations)
Only Mum was baptised as a child, all of us chose to get (re-)baptised and confirmed in our teens. Dad felt we should make our own choices about religion.

No, thank god
My Dads father was Methodist (but not active)
My Dads Mother was Scottish Presbyterian - very active in the Salvation Army (miserable woman)
My Dad was Church of England (not active)
My Mums Father was Catholic (not too active)
My Mums Mother was Church of England (quite active)
My Mum was C of E (not active)
I started down the C of E route, I was a chior boy, confirmed and all, but then as a teenager, I looked at Buddhism and Shintoism, and now as an adult am a happy Atheist

faith is truly an accident of start. i replaced into born right into a Greek Orthodox Christian kinfolk, and that i'm a non secular Greek Orthodox Christian. If I were born right into a Jewish kinfolk or a Muslim kinfolk, i might in all likelihood have been a non secular Jew or religious Muslim. whether, I had a disaster of religion while i replaced into college student and puzzled each thing I had found out or been instructed. After lots concept, i found out I observed extra motives to have self belief than to no longer have self belief. I remained Greek Orthodox for many motives, one among that's the reality that the apostle Paul preached on the stairs of the Acropolis.

Mom went to a Methodist church as a child
Step dad considered him self Protestant but was baptized Catholic,
Neither on of them attended church nor took we girls to church.
Mother however would send us down to the church on the corner which happened to be Evangelical United Brethren --Later United Methodist -The Adults there saw to my religious training as well as they could .
At a very young age I was attracted to the Catholic Church -as an adult I was drawn to the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist and became Catholic.

My parents made me go to church as a kid but when I got older, they let me decide for myself. My parents occasionally go to church and so do I.
I got saved in August of 2000 when I was a sophomore in college. So I've walked with God for seven years and counting :)
*Mom is a Catholic
*Dad is a non-denominational Christian
*Mom's family is full of born agains like me
*Dad's family is full of people who don't go to church except for two people

I'm a non-denominational Christian.
I would suggest you do an Alpha course somewhere away from anyone you know and then make up your own mind based on what they show you about Christianity.
