Take the pill and wipe it on something good and smelly (meat, cheese). Then put one arm around her neck and, holding her mouth open with one hand , push the pill way way way back in her mouth - all the way to the throat. She'll swallow it. If she doesn't you didn't push far enough. Try again.

It really is easier to administer a pill if you hide it in people food (cheese, peanut butter, etc.) or even a ball of canned dog food. But if you would rather not use food here is what has worked with both of my dogs...
Have the dog in a sitting position, stand behind the dog, and tilt his head up. Using his top lips to cover the teeth, grab and open the top of his mouth. You may need to use your other hand (the one holding the pills) to gently pull down the lower portion of his mouth--I use the front teeth for this to avoid the K-9s. Still holding the top half of his mouth, drop the pill back as far as you can without gagging the dog. Shut his mouth immediately and either rub his throat or breath a quick strong breath into his nose (I do the latter as my dogs can hide the pill in their mouths for a long time...blowing into their nose forces them to swallow.) If they still won't swallow, try an eyedropper with a bit of water. Be sure to praise your dog once the meds are swallowed so that she will be more willing to take the pills next time around!

the pet stores have a type of mushy dry food that you can slip the pill inside. sometimes this works you can put on top of the dogs dry food and he will gobble it up with the rest of the food.
I just open my dog's mouth, and push the pill to the very back down his throat a tad you don't want to choke him. if you do it quick and then rub his throat to help him swallow it then reward him with a treat or a nice vigorous petting this will not be a negative routine.
there is also a "pill popper" that is a cylander tube like a dropper, you can aim it to the back of the throat and send it down that way, keeping his mouth closed and rubbing his neck it should also go down.
those are the only ways I know of.

the easiesy way is to put the pill into a hot dog, peanut butter, or something soft. But if you really don't want your dog to have those thing you can purchase a pill shooter. they are normaly sold a feed stores. NOT pet stores. you put the pill into the shooter and hold your dog. put the end into their mouth and pull the trigger, it shoots the pill and air down their throat, but seriously give them the food.

All you have to do is open the dogs mouth, tilt the head back, drop the pills near the back of the throat, now hold the dogs head and rub your hand up and down it's throat to get it to swallow. Once they swallow say good dog, and give them a treat. That way it's not a bad experience for her.

Open her mouth really wide and drop it in the back. Keep trying until she swallows it. Make sure you clamp her mouth shut afterwards. You will find your hand basically down her throat--that's normal. Otherwise, give her table food just this once. If it's a capseal and you can open it and sprinkle the contents over something (mashed potatoes, something that won't upset her tummy). If it's a huge pill and she's one of those eaters who gobbles her food, mix it in. Otherwise, see if you can break it up and sprinkle it over her food with some dog gravy or something.

You could try a pill dispenser (ask your vet) but trying peanut butter or some canned food or other soft treat she might like would be more pleasant for you both.
