Okay we had Ted Haggard, then Florida Republican Rep. Mark Foley ' s preoccupation with teenage boys then Republican legislator Bob Allen getting arrested in a park restroom for soliciting oral sex from a police officer; then Southern Baptist Convention leader Lonnie Latham in Oklahoma City arrested on a lewdness complaint for propositioning a plainclothes policeman; and Indiana Young Republican National Federation leader Glenn Murphy resigning after police charged him with sexually assaulting a young man, then the downfall of closeted former Virginia GOP Congressman Ed Schrock and Larry Craig.

Latest news is Christopher Austin, an 'ex-gay' counselor in Irving, Texas, was convicted of sexually assaulting a young client who came to his gay therapy to be turned straight. Austin was sentenced to 10 years in prison, seven years probation and is now registered as a sex offender.

Do gay people who do not learn to accept themselves act out in unhealthy ways? When will this end?

Can you believe parents are sending their teenagers to these "ex-gay" camps with counsellers who are themselves repressed homosexuals?

Are they so scared of their kid being gay they would put them through unproven therapy that medical officials agree is dangerous and worse yet places confused clients in the hands of repressed therapists?

Isn't this a recipe for more disaster?

Yeah, I think you're exactly right. Trying to make someone something/one they are not (whether it has to do with their sexuality or any other part of thier nature) is a losing battle which will never really be successful. I mean, gee, I don't happen to remember the day I *chose* to be straight, do you? I will stop now before I go off on a diatribe about hypocracy.

I am not so sure about that. As a man I can tell you that almost all men are pigs with lusts for kinky and very dirty acts that many women would think is digusting. Most of us men keep it decent to keep our wives and society accepting of us. Few of us men do everthing that appeals to us like a cave man might have done. That doen't cause problems for most of us. We can deal with it and live normal lives.

accepting yourself very important... I think the problems you are indicating here is the leadership that has been influencing governments and societies for far to long... oppression no matter what it is has a habit of rearing it's head.... people living in glass houses throwing stones will always get caught with their pants down...... that's a karma thing ...
