If you look up terrorist in The dictionary it states: A person or group of people or a government that tries to scare another person or group of persons or government into something. People who live in other countries and in the U.S. live in fear of different things. In other countries people wake up in fear wondering if they will live through out the day or will they they die because of some crack pot wanting to kill today. In the U.S. the papers and TV put people in fear (July 4th we are on watch for terrorist action that might or might not happen). Our own government makes people live in fear through the media.
So is our government or media Terrorists? Terrorism can not be wiped out because it has been around since man has been around, people always have something to fear and the media makes it worse. If we eliminate a terrorist some other crack pot will replace him.

Not until we are able to secure all of our borders for one thing, a major undertaking, and quit letting everyone in the country. Since everything has change for the USA since the terror attacks during the Clinton Admin as well as Bush's, things will never be the same. This is what we will be fighting from here on. It's HOW we deal with terrorism since 9/11 that is the issue.

If it was directed at the terror threat that was found in Bin Laden hidden in Afghanistan. Playing cowboys and indians in Iraq just leaves us open for more terrorist acts as we are only pissing off more and more people around the world. If, when the threat was acknowledged, we took care of it and that was that, it would have made the future terrorists sit back and take stock, but by ignoring the source of the original attack (Bush does business with the Saudi family of bin Laden, et. al) and going after a piss=ant like Saddam Hussein just to make brownie points with daddy, well, that basically gave bin Laden and his cohorts the proof they needed to keep calling the US the Great Satan and go for the jugular.

The idea that we can somehow find every person in any country that hates the US enough to attack us is pretty far fetched. And also in the meantime not alienating people so they don't start to hate us.
We really don't even know if all this new security at airports and whatnot is even helping. It was 8 years between attacks in America last time, so who knows at what pace they are plotting now.

Holy Defender provides material for a real good laugh. About 7 americans were killed on US soil during the eight years of the Clinton presidency, barely one month into his presidency. Did Bill blame G. H. W. Bush for that? No. He took responsibility for it, and the perpetrators were brought to justice. Nearly 3000 were killed on US soil during the first year of the Bush presidency.
Bush does not personally blame Clinton for this failure, at least he has that going for him (although far too many of his supporters do). In response, Bush waged unprovoked war upon an entirely ininvolved nation--one not especially connected to any incidents of international terrorism.
Which president did a better job?
Now, we appear to incite international terrorism. Bush supresses state department statistics on incidents, but early reports showed substantial global increases every years subsequent to his assuming office.

No I don't think it will solve all of our problems
I think its just a step to something bigger
The war on terror will last for a long time.....Iraq is just the tip of the Iceburg.
To momatad:
Bin Ladin was exlied from his own country. The house of saud is a scular govt. Bin ladin made AQ to overthrow the house of Saud to inforce Sharia law. His own family shunned him. We support the house of saud becasue we are fighting the same people. AQ kill Islamic people. Why do you think england and germany have been attacked also. Becasue they support the House of Saud. So your point had no point in it. That was a half turth you heard.

terrorism has existed long before 9/11. it stretches back to roman times. If we caught bin laden tommorow then there would be someone else to lead the jihadist movement. To stand up for freedom is the ultimate price.

No, but hopefully it will lessen the attacks within our country.
The issue between Israel and the Muslim world will continue, it is Biblical, even they acknowledge it.
There are 3rd world countries who suffer from terrorists who want total power.
Man, however, must and will try to maintain peace,
.
