I'm getting a little birdie on each shoulder blade =]

Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this particular tattoo?
Should I wear tank tops or loose fitting shirts or what?
I work in an office & I just need a heads up on how to deal with it..

the best thing is to just dress normally, be sure that you wear a cotton under shirt and nothing too tight. also don't wear a tight bra so it won't irritate the tattoo. if you do have a problem with irritation you can put on the cotton shirt first then a bra then the top shirt, it's what i do and works great.
good luck!

I have three fourths of my back tattooed which includes my shoulder blades. Stay away from tank tops during the healing process because it will exposed it to the sun which is bad and painful. Just avoid shirts that with rub constantly. You can wear regular shirts, baggy shirts work well too but do you always want to wear big baggy shirts? You can actually wear what you want, just nothing that will be in direct exposure to the sun. And through experience, fleece is very uncomfortable with a tattoo in the healing process. The complete healing process of a tattoo is 2 months, which allows a new layer of skin to form above the tattoo. here's a picture of mine.http://i6.tinypic.com/4kxzo07.jpg

Happy tattooing!

Loose fitting shirt would be best - don't wear anything that has a strap that will lay on the tattoo if at all possible. You don't want anything rubbing on them.
I wore loose t-shirts for a week, but I also work from home.
Take lotion with you to work to keep it moisturized (non-scented, etc). Once the itching starts it will be handy to have :)

well, tattoo's are often frowned upon in the work place if you have an office job. So I think that it would be in your best interest to keep it under wraps, once your out of work then basically its what ever floats your boat, but when your on the clock I feel that just to be on the safe side you should keep it hidden.

if you have sensitive skin id say wear comfortable tops or maybe even a soft cotton tank underneath for the first couple of days. depending on how you're getting tattooed determines the level of pain or irritation if any. they also have non-scented lubriderm lotion for tattoos that could help but id say you'll be fine and over it in a couple of days. take good care of them and you wont be threatened with infection. good luck!

Since the area you are getting tattooed in falls in the way of your bra strap I would suggest wearing a sports bra with a t-back so it keeps from rubbing your sensitive freshly tattooed areas. Since you work in an office setting you still need to follow their dress code policy....it was your choice to get tattooed.

I would wear something loose fitting and dark colored. Since you will need to apply some sort of ointment the first few days (A&D ointment, Bacitrene, or Tattoo Goo) you don't want it to leave stains on a nice silk blouse.
