Yes.....as a child I had out of body experiences many times. I think a child's mind is uncluttered and more open to things like that. Adults have too much on their minds, and are more unaccepting of such things. I dont talk about it, but I remember vividly being asleep in my bed and rising to stand at the end and look back at myself still sleeping. I would "float" out to the kitchen to presumably check on my Mum and could tell her the next day exactly what she was doing then.

I heard illusions were possible with dramamine once and tried it. Everything was heavy and twitched with no sharp corners anywhere. Rooms were like orbs. I went to the bathroom and when I looked at myself in the mirror, it was not me. I mean, I knew it was me, but my body and soul/mind were of a different nature. I had a strange feeling of ownership over this body that I could control. It was the closest thing I suppose.

There is no reason to believe that Astral Traveling and OBEs are nothing more than vivid dreams.

Not as far as I know, though I may have and have simply forgotten about it. For example, I had a near death experience once, but I remember so little about it, I may have been astral traveling then and simply don't recall. Did that make sense?

I've dabbled with hallucinogenics before yes.... brilliant fun.
I think it's great that some people can do this stuff simply by convincing themselves they can! Must be such an interesting life to lead although I dont think I would actually like to be that gullible, I like the experience and knowing why it happened. Otherwise next step my be scientology. Eeek!

yes, in college i did a lot of work to do it. i worked on lucid dreaming first, and then astral projection. i was successful a couple times. it was awesome!!! definitely not a dream. the only problem was that i was so excited, and i had trained myself to write down my dreams so well, that i woke up too early so i could write it down. but it was way fun.

I have, and I did share it with friends. However, I really don't want to bring up those memories now.

Only when I had been dreaming or in a light sleep. Never could relax enough to do it consciously.
