I work light airborne Infantry. We have to be able to jump anywhere with full kit and be able to move and fight through or defend a position. Average weight per man with ammo, Light anti tank weapons, batteries, radios, rations etc etc is well over 150 lbs. Now you honestly think we can manage to carry and wear a big chunk of chobham armour around our body as well ? Plus with modern velocities and calibers from the likes of an apache or a10 guns wearing a medieval type suit could maybe stop penetration but it wouldn't stop the impact nor the shock wave, so you would still be dead or seriously injured.

Hi Ladyeagle7. Nice Avatar. YES. We must have on the full armour of God because we are in a daily battle with Satan. We must both study and receive God's word in our heart to stand against Satan's attacks on our life. The Devil cannot get a foot hold into our lives as long as we stay connected to Christ and his word.

Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Yes I am. Thank you. We ALL should.
Our Christian Armor: Ephesians 6:10-18
Helmet of Salvation
Shield of Faith
Belt of Truth
Breastplate of Righteousness
Gospel Shoes
Sword of the Spirit
"Finally, be strong in The Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."
"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of The Spirit, which is The Word of God. And pray in The Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." (Ephesians 6:10-18 New International Version)
God did not "draft" us into His Christian Church and then send us off into spiritual battle without the equipment that we need to win the war. If we use what God has given us, eternal victory is a choice, not a chance.

To put on the full armour of God is to put on Christ.
(Romans 13:14)
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
(Psalm 62:1-2)
1Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
2He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
(Psalms 73:26)
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
(Isaiah 40:29-31)
29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
(Isaiah 41:13)
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
(Jeremiah 31:25)
For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
(Psalms 145:14)
The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
(2 Corinthians 12:9)
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
(1 Corinthians 13:1-4,8,13)
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
(Phillippians 4:13)
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Amen. :)
