What are the actual words used before translation and what do they mean?

Why is it impossible to look upon god's face? Why have some claimed that they did?

God's Fountain Pen: It is a legitimate question which you did not answer.

That is what is says in the English translation (biblegateway.com) and if you had read the details you would have seen that I WANT to know know what it means in the original language.

What does Jesus' backside have to do with my question about the original Hebrew and an experience that happened to Moses?!

The Jewish Publication Society Bible (mostly used by Jews) translates verse 23 as "And I will take away My hand, and thou shalt see My back; but My face shall not be seen."

To answer your question, the actual Hebrew word translated as "my back parts" in the version you quoted is " 'achowr, " which is Strong's Number H268: http://cf.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H0268&Version=kjv

Those who have seen God's face did not see God the Father; they saw God the Son (Jesus).

Yes, definitely. God is described as having feet (Exodus 24:10), a right hand (Exodus 15:6, so presumably a left hand too), a finger (Exodus 31:18), and a face (in the verse you quoted). Why not a butt? There are no clothes described, so it s a safe assumption there was a full moon out over Mount Horeb.

Spiritually speaking lots of people have seen the Lord in the spirit and yet cannot explain a lots in details because it is forbidded to be told. Now the back parts that God spoke to Moses was literally what the bible says the back parts what ever that may be. God is so awesome until who can say what the back parts were by God being spirit, who knows what Moses actually saw as it was written in details.

No one has seen God (the Father) at anytime. So? I think this might have been Jesus backside in the Glory of God the Father.

This is still a bit of a mystery to me. So? This is the part of God who we, as humans can not see God's Face (Father God's Face) and live. Jesus as the Word of God did appear as the LORD, as the Angel of God, as God to people saw his face & who lived. Also, 'Jacob' wrestled with Jesus & his hip got knocked out. And he wrestled with God & prevailed, so Jacob's name was exalted to 'Israel'.

So? Maybe, Moses did see Gods behind along with Gods back. But then this could be Jesus backside while in the Glory of God the Father.

And the Glory of God the Fathers backside wouldn't be as bright as the Glory of God the Fathers face. So, then Moses, who had been in God's presence many times. would survive this.

Thanks for the question. It seems like God is answering further questions I have asked a while back lately.

Who ever told you He had one? I find your question to be 'childish'. God is Holy,& we are sinners by nature. We cannot look upon each other.at this time. That is why Jesus came.To remove the stain of our sins. and present us as holy before God. Once we have recieved our glorified, 'incorruptable eyes', then, we will see God. Until then, our vision of God is spiritual.

"And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. "

This will all change soon, when the mystery of God is finished, as declared by his servants, the prophets.

Since no one in the flesh can see God and live, I believe this was a manifestation of Christ long before He came to earth.

It was probably the back side (everything) of Christ.

This is why we are getting new and incorruptable bodies at the resurrection......
