When I met my husband we discussed religion along with everything else... He was raise Jehovah's Witness, I was raised Mormon.. He is Agnostic, I am Atheist... Our families still practic their respective religions..

In the past I have dated Christians (some more devout than others).. The difference in religion or lack there of was never a problem as the respect for each others individual views was always present..

If I were to become single again I wouldn't rule out dating a person of any religion.. Religion or lack there of is only a small part of the whole person...

Religion is the last thing on my mind. If I fell for a devout Christian I would deal the same way as if I fell for a Pagan, Buddahist , etc. Just love them more. Religion means nothing in my relationships.

I dont ask....there is no need to. Hard to find a Christian woman to pick up on at the Baby Eating Contests I tend to cruise for chicks....

Seriously, I dont think many of us would find ourselves in love with a devout person - the devout person wouldnt come near us for fear of catching the atheism... Besides, for me to be certain that I am in love requires the act of intercourse - something a devout person likely wouldnt be engaging in...

1. Yes, but you can usually tell how devout people are anyway.

2. Then I would be in love with a devout Christian. :)

Well, eventually over the course of dating religion comes up. "What church do you go to?", that sort of thing.
I don't think it would be IMPOSSIBLE for me to fall in love with a devout Christian, but I don't really see it happening simply because that's a pretty BIG difference when it comes to compatibility. It would be a turn-off to me to have anyone try to convert me, or if they spend too much time talking about religion or God. I just wouldn't want that sort of thing in my life to a large degree.

I would fall in love with any person is is smart, engaged in life, ambitious, and has a great body. (Might as well be honest) I tend to find women who do not adhere to a religious sect follow the pattern of what I am attracted to. But if I found a women who was all the above, and a regular church christian I would have no problem falling in love. But if they were to judge me, try to change my believes then it would not work out.

I don't usually ask unless it's essential or they tell me themselves...

I wouldn't fall in love with a devout religious person simply because for me to fall in love with someone I *need* to like them or admire them, sorry but I'm not fond of devout religious people

I'm married to a Christian woman. She goes to church on Sundays and takes our daughter with her. So long as my daughter gets a choice about whether to go or not, I'm not going to interfere.

I've had this conversation with my wife of course... Religion is not to be forced on my daughter. If she wants to follow it, I'm OK with that. If not, that's fine too. It should be getting interesting soon, my daughter's just starting into puberty.

I'm not too worried about a woman's religion when it comes to affairs of the heart.

My hubby of 29 years is agnostic and I am a Pagan. It works out fine.

The only time such relationships do not work is if one or both parties are secretly hoping to change the others beliefs or non beliefs.

We have no such expectation of each other. I let him be as he is and he does the same for me. Mixed belief marriages are not for fundamentalists of any kind.
