Just discovered a solid frozen chicken in our freezer. Label says sell by Dec 26, '00.
Today is Sept 11, 2007 !!!!
What do you think, we want to bbq tonight.

3 months only is recommended.

Most cookbooks always recommended that you not keep poultry frozen for more than six months to a year. The most I have gone is a year.
I do not know if I would trust the Chicken.

I would say DON'T do it. A chicken is probably good for about 6 months to a year in the freezer. 7 years is definitely too old.....it might look OK once you defrost it, but it definitely won't have a good taste!!!!

well my dad say that if it is frizen is good, but NO. Thats to much time!!!! Is not good trust me when that thing starts to unfriozze you will fell the smell.

Anyways do you live alone? How come that chicken been there so long? Thats funny!!

But what ever you do dont eat that chicken man, i hope you playing around.

I would not BBQ. I could use for soup, though. Chicken will be tough, but the process of cooking it for 1.5 hours will soften it some.

You can only keep chicken,beef, pork 6monthes in freezer before it goes bad

Defrost it and if it smells funny throw it out....I remember my mom making hamburgers from ground beef that had been in the freezer far too long and we all got sick! When in doubt throw it out!
