For Eg.

How much vaccines and cures for diseases come from countries, such as Pakistan or Turkey?

Where the prevalent belief is creation, and this is what is taught in school.

Do these countries contribute to WHO ?

Is this where United States is heading, if they continue to try to teach Intelligent Design?

It weighs heavily on my mind some days -- that America is a country whose best days are behind it.

But I do what I can to stem the tide of ignorance, educating my son in matters of science and instilling in him a love of learning -- five years old, and he already knows what evolution is and that gods and magic (even re-branded as "miracles") are all just pretend...

Your question is all over the map and compares items that are in no way relevant. Work on your English, take a Pol Sci 101 class to understand the world markets. Take a History 101 class to understand how each country came to be where it is, and then study the CIA World Handbook to have a better understanding of each country.
Good luck with your studies.

You make a good point. And it makes me quite sad to think about it.

I understand some people like to claim evolution is untested (100%false) or "unproven" (if so, then electricity is "unproven") or "only a theory" (showing they do not understand what a scientific theory is -- it is NOT the same as a conjecture). Many of these people feel threatened by it because they falsely believe it means their religion is false.

But the truth is, truth is a good thing. Science is a good thing. And countries who think religion is the only science (mostly those in the Middle East and some here in America) are doing their best to hurt their countries.

The worst of all these nonsensical "ideas" is intelligent design. It is religion that pretends to be science -- ignoring the principles of science by having some ring of truthiness.

Did it occur to you that pakistan is a very poor country and hence the problem with education?
Yes, there has been a lot of muslim contribution to science, noot to mention the immigrants who are working overseas in more affluent countries. Do you actually believe that evrything achieved in the west is doen by atheists? That is far from the truth.

Well it's a harsh blow against Science in one way specifically. Once someone thinks they have all the answers they need, they stop looking.

Science is about exploration. The reason Science has so many good theorys is because a scientific stance is to say:
Well if you can come up with something better, or point out a clear flaw in the Theory we will look harder.

Since your sooooooooo smart you should have known that America has always been a Christian nation. The forefathers all believed in Creation. We have had God's blessing and that is why we are so advanced in science and medicine, etc. Now that you know the truth maybe you should leave America. Why don't you go to Russia, China or Cuba where they don't believe in God. Lets see if you get some medicine when your sick.

You guys are killing me with your thoughts on Evoloution. Creationism is the way of the World, and what do you mean is this the way the United States is headed, the US was founded on Christian Ideals and the foundation of Creationism. We are not headed that way we've been there for over 200 years....

Not at all.
They are intellegent enough to embrace other "theories" instead of blindly accepting evolution as the only umproven theory.

Intelligent design is for people who are too dumb to be able to understand anything remotely more complicated. I feel sorry for those people...
