the world is divided in three, Asgård where the gods live in the middle, Midgård where the humans live outside Asgård and outside Midgård lies Utgård where trolls, giants and other enemies to the gods live.. And then of course, under the world, Hel the world of the dead... Nifelheim and Muspelheim where places that existed before the world was created.
So Thor would of lived in Asgard
