A good friend of mine joined Yahoo Personals earlier this year because of a dating rut. Well, she met someone on there and they have been casually seeing each other from time to time. She says they have good chemistry and I have met him and he seems like a good person. Here's the issue: Now, she says they haven't been nothing more than good friends getting to know each other better and she thinks that he is the "one" but doesn't want to rush into anything. When she decided to check out her personal's account the other day, she noticed that he had been active in last 24 hours. She was a little sad, thinking that maybe he only considers her as nothing more than a friend and was still searching for his right "one."
As a friend I told her not to read to much into anything. They have built a good friendship out of it and nothing romantic has been done, so I do not seem the harm in him continuing to use the service. Was I wrong to say this or do you think she should look elsewhere?

I agree with you. I did yahoo personals for quite awhile, and when I was dating and it was casual, I still looked and so did they. Not until I met the man of my dreams and we knew we wanted a relationship did we decide to remove our profiles. You said nothing wrong at all.

I think she should look elsewhere as he is not feeling her the same way she feels him. She is setting herself up for a heart break.
