Gordon and Jr. are friends off the track who focus solely on racing every competitor on the track.
It's the Gordon haters who are showing their true selves to the world and making things diifcult for Mr. Gordon and Mr. Earnhardt Jr.
From what my husband and I can tell, Jr. has taken the high road concerning his difficulities and split with DEI. I think both Mr. Gordon and Mr. Earnhardt Jr. have the capabilities of keeping personal differences off the race track and will focus on running a fair race.

Gordon and Jr will continue the same being teamates as they do now except for the sharing of tech info. Hendricks drivers are out to win and respect each other as doing the same. Bumping and banging should not be any different now as it has in the past. Tony Jr will have better info from Hendrick organization than he did with DEI as proven from past years experience. Which organization has always)mostly) been vying for the wins and championships. Answer your own question. Fan are a fickle group and there is no way to predict support changes due to the team shifts.Gordon has the respect of his fans and Jr has his supporters. That will not change except that Jr will pick up more fans as a part of the Hendrick organization than he will lose from leaving DEI. Why would you HATE any driver. The one you "hate" is the only thing you have to talk about after the race. All the drivers have paid their dues, be it J Gordon, Jr, Waltrip, Andretti. They are all in the same boat, some are just more successful.

First of all its Jeff Gordon, and they are already friends so I dont see what the big deal is about them being teammates? Please explain. Gordon fans will accept Jr. as a part of the team, and hopefully Jr. fans will accept Gordon as being a mentor and friend. I doubt that the Jr. fans will stop hating Gordon even if they are teammates but I think that they will appreciate what Gordon has done for this sport now more then anything and recognize the accomplishments he has made in his career.

There really isn't much of a problem now between Gordon and Jr. The fans on the other hand......
Most likely it will be the same next year and nothing will change. Hopefully though fans will be able to support Hendrick and want to root for their "team" when their driver is not in a position to win a particular race. I am not a big fan of the Raiders or 49ers but I always root for them to win out of my pride for being from California. I do not like the #5 of Hendrick but still want him to win as a Hendrick driver.
After that, I like to see Chevy win! LOL

As a Gordon fan I already accept and like Jr. My disdain is with the "rabid beer throwing" faction of his fanbase. I believe that a large part of Little E's fanbase will also accept him being a teammate of Gordon.
As far as playing nice together goes the answer is yes. Anyone that thinks Jr. will spend his time trying to sabotage Jeff or vice versa doesn't know much about either one of them. Both of those drivers are far to competitive to worry about anything except making their respective teams and cars faster.
For Jeff nothing really changes except the popularity of his teammates. For Jr. things will only get better!

No i don't think the two of them will play nice or anything else together.Jr. will be himself and Gordon will try to take away from Jr. as much as he can. But the Jr. fans will put Gordon in his place in a hurry.Nascar can only make these drivers do so much for the public. Tony doesn't let them rule him, well maybe just a tad but not often . That's my opinon and i'm sticking to it Thank You

hate Gordon

Dale Jr and Jeff Gordon are friends, Jeff and Jimmy both have said they welcome him as a new team mate next yr.. I have no problems with it at all, its time for Jr fans to accept it and move on with it..I'm happy Jr is going to have HMS equipment, technology, and people, I just hope Tony Jr can pick up and become more professional as a crew chief like the others at hendrix....It will be interesting at Talladega next spring, I'm sure the boo birds and beer cans will be flying, Jr Nation needs to wake up, Jr will be a 100% better driver next yr with super equipment...I'm looking forward to it. I'm not the biggest Jeff Gordon fan in the world, I totally welcome Jeff as Jr's new team mate for 2008...When they are on the track I'm sure they will race each other hard.. I plan on going to Talladega next yr, it will be fun watching how the roughest Jr Nation crowd accepts this... But this Jr fan welcomes it..

Who is Flash(Gorden)? If you mean Jeff Gordon, I don't see any problem with Jr. joining HMS, and them being teammates. It is the Jr. fans and the Gordon fans that have the problem. Myself, I am a Jr. fan, not a team fan, so I don't really mind who he drives for. I don't like Gordon, but I don't hate him either.
Go Jr.>>>>

Like all families, there may be some flare-ups, but with Gordon and Johnson being current teammates, they've learned that it's one for all and all for one.
The few races I've been at, I think the Gordon fans will embrace Jr. before the Earnhardt fans even consider joining forces. The only thing that would help would be a Jr./Gordon draft for a Jr. win at Daytona.
