In my experience electric fences are worthless!
It may even be able to keep your dog inside the peremeters but there is no way to keep the roaming dogs off of your property!
Recommended...chain link fences!**

I bought Innotek fence and you can get more collars for it. I was able to completely fence in 2/3 of and acre and have enough left over for about the same amount of space for about $170, alot cheaper than a real fence. Thats with and extra roll of wire. Ive got an unneutered 18month old 65lb male APBT and he sticks to his fence great. Ive Had people tease my dog and have had dogs run into the yard and run out with my dog chasing them and he stopped dead at his line. If you know how to train a dog and how to handle a dog they are great tools. Innotek is a respected brand or just ask your local TSC or pet store for another. Also check your local laws because where I live any dog that comes into my yard is considered off leash to where my dog is leashed as long as whatever happens happens in my yard the other owner is 100% at fault.

They are useless.........other animals or people can come in your yard and your dog would have no way to get out of harms way. It would only keep your dog in by an electric collar. Get a fence and do your dog a favor. He will love you for it.~!!!!!!

Good luck

Almost all that I've seen (the Petsafe ones you can buy at petstores) or the actual invisible fence brand, give you the option of purchasing an additional collar.

My neighbour has an electric fence and they are extremely expensive. and he`s finding it useless for his dogs. In fact one of them was hit by a car two weeks ago on the main road.. Get a fence around your property..

i think its wrong to have a electric fence but supposedly they are very exspensive i think you should jus get a regular fence it could hurt your dog mentally if you use a electric fence

i would go check petco, petsmart, or cabellas....my sister has one of these...one of her dogs obeys the fence and the other one did not and would jump through it...he knew that alittle bit of pain and he would be free on the other side...i would suggest building a dog run...or a fence around your yard...i built a six foot high dog run and our dogs do not get out...we do have a fence around our yard also but with the dog run we built the sides up higher to ensure their saftey....
