When they pierce your septum, they go through the thin skin between the very end of your nose and the cartilidge right?

Can any one give me a rating on the pain scale 1-10 for this piercing?

I've already had my tongue, lip and belly button (twice), I have my ears gauged to 00s, and I have a tattoo. My pain threshold is moderate.

I'm thinking of either getting that, a monroe, or a second lip piercing (snake bites),

What do you think?

It's the same feeling as plucking a nose hair - hurts about the same. Heals pretty quickly. Easiest to take and heal - if you have it done right. BUT if not - it can take months and be very painful. Find out what their experience is with this piercing. Sounds like you've had enough done to know that already though! ;)

Check the link - it could be helpful to what you are looking for! Good luck:))

Wait for the swelling to go down and be diligent about your aftercare. Then do the following: In terms of the "is this bad" question, it's mostly about personal preference. Some people like their septum piercings closer to their face, some like it farther away, and it's not uncommon for septum piercings to look like they're hanging from the very tip of the nose! However, placement should have been discussed with your piercer beforehand. If you feel like she was quite off from what you wanted, or if you simply dislike the placement she decided, you can probably go back to your piercer. Many will re-pierce for free if their first attempt was not satisfactory. But in terms of health and healing it won't make too much of a difference. Good luck!

The Septum is probably one of the most painful piercings, so I'd give it maybe an eight or a nine.

You should get your septum, since you say you've gauged to 00s. Piercing your tongue, lip, and belly button looks painful, but really it isn't.

Sure, go for snakebites as well.

Experiment with your body while you still can!

This one didn't really hurt - the needle slides through easy (no cartilage) - but it did make my eyes water. I have pierced my tongue twice, my nose, my septum, my labrae (don't think I spelled that right), my bellybutton - and have four others I won't mention. Bellybutton was the worst - septum was one of the easiest. 2 of the ones I won't mention were the easiest (not counting ears in this at all).

My friend thought the nose piercing was extremely painful and then she got an infection

You could definatly handle it. Its supposed to hurt just a little more than a nose piercing. I have a nose piercing and it really didnt hurt at all.

go for it!@!!

Not very painful.... I personally thought that my most painful piercing was my belly button (and I've had my nose, eye brow and belly button pierced)

My septum didn't really hurt. Less than my tattoo, and my tattoo wasn't bad either. Monroe is cute, I heard that hurts worse than the septum.

the pain is minimal. just a little sting.

if you are active, it may affect your breathing when working out. i had mine for a month and got side cramps every time i worked out... aka every day. ;)

I have mine. It wasn't too bad. Makes your eyes water, but that happens with any nasal piercing. You'll handle it fine. :]
