I'm getting my daughter's name tattooed and I'm not sure of how to get it done and where. I've been thinking either my wrist, the back of my neck, my foot or ankle. What do you think? Also, does anyone know of any websites that give examples of different types of writing? I really want it to be different. Thanks

Her name is Mary Angelina...should I just get her name, name and birthday or her name and some sort of picture or symbol?

The Calligraphy style is always
very pretty for a girls name.
Let your artist help with the placement,
after all, he is the one looking at the canvas.

Hi,
I think its great that you are trying to get ideas. Maybe someone has an idea you never would have thought of. Of course the choice is yours but getting advice and ideas from others is not a bad idea....
That being said I would put it on my wrist. I like the script you choose. maybe put the name on one side and date of birth on the other. You could use the japanese simble for daughter or love or both in between. Or a heart or star to separate them. The possibilities are endless. I myself have three kids and Im going to have theres names put on me in there own handwriting. So I can remember how little and wonderful they are.
Tatoos are wonderful a so are daughters enjoy them both
Peace
GG

I have 2 tattoos and my momma has a few, and she said the most painful place was her neck and her foot. Also if you go on Microsoft Word and find a font you like, all you have to do is print it out, and take is to the parlor you're getting the tattoo at and they'll copy it to a specific paper and then put it on your skin. (I done that with my "only God can judge me tattoo")
I think you should get it on your wrist. I've always thought that a tattoo looks great there. =D

olde english is a favorite for a type of writing. to where you want to place your daughters name depends on how comfortable you are about exposing the tattoo. some like it hidden while others don't mind their tattoo showing all the time. I have a tribal tat on my upper arm with the initial of my daughters first name. the bonier the area i believe the more pain you will feel. Another thing you can do is put a "mock" tattoo or removal one to see how you feel before you actually do it permanently

Childrens names on the left back shoulder blade area, Melanie on the right back shoulder blade. Old English lettering is a nice style surrounded (with room for addition on the left) with old English ivy and or any other vegetation that appeals to you. The Tatt people will draw something up special just with this rudimentary idea to start with, a good tatt parlor is usually pretty creative with just an idea of what you want.

thats really pretty font, it fits her name...def on the back of your neck...dont add a bday date cuz ppl will think its the date she died...u can add a couple little flowers around it or stars..tattoo artists are really creative, they will def help u out and draw up something really nice for u, just show them the script u want, how to spell her name and they'll take care of the rest....

Are you planning on any more children? My sister in law has three, and she has their names around her wrist, the names are the vine, with a rose in between each one.

I've thought of that myself.I wanted to do my daughter's name in simple cursive over my heart....I think my lack of breasts would help tremendously in that location...lol!
I think the back of the neck is cool as hell=)

Go to your fonts in your pc for some good idea's. Also if it's your daughters name you might want to put it near your heart.
