Because he created us as individuals with the freedom to make choices. God did not fail we did. Besides perfection is boring.

I like Henry Ps answer the best. The answer to your question is related to what a person's idea of God is. If you think of God as an all-seeing overlord or a human-like conscious personality or a Creator (the fancy word for this is demiurgos) then you may ask yourself the question you are asking--and which western philosophers and theologians have asked over the ages of the Common Era (1 AD til now). If you think of God as reality itself or as an "Absolute Reality" from which phenomental reality arises, or as consciousness itself or as a transcendent mystery (as the ancient Greeks and NeoPlatonists did and as philosophical forms of eastern religions do) then you don't need to ask that question. The world is a self-sustaining organism. It "eats" itself literally and metaphorically to keep itself going (that is, its constituent parts consume each other either as food or through exploitation). God made it that way--or God "is" that way. Very archaic Hindu prayers ask poetically God to let the prayer be "the eater not the eaten." The story of Adam and Eve is a beautiful myth that explains why life is so painful and hard. Most cultures have a creation myth like this. Religion and spirituality is a way to sublimate, transcend, and have a different, wise, and compassionate understanding about the reality of the duality of ordinary existence and the vicissitudes of life. Don't be bitter

Jehovah's creation DID NOT fail. !
You're reaping the benefits of it right now.....you're alive and breathing the oxygen that he so graciously supplies....you are enjoying the beauty of a blue sky and abundant sunshine; you're eating today.....where did the food come from? Could it be God's creation?
God is real and compassionate, otherwise YOU wouldn't be here! If you're so bent on proving that God doesn't not exist, why don't you opt out and let someone else enjoy the space that you're taking up; afterall, in your opinion, wouldn't that be the "perfect" thing to do?

God created everything perfect... but man fell and broke his only rule. Thus the world is no longer perfect. We are paying for our mistakes today. God gave us a way out of our sin tho when he allowed his son to die on the cross for us to forgive us our sins. All we have to do is accept him and let him into our hearts. God didn't fail... we did. Nothing will be perfect again until we (those who accepted him into their hearts) are in heaven, then we will have a glorified body and live perfect lives.

Everything IS perfect, depending on what you mean. Animals still perform their function of life, water and weather cycles continue, and people continue to reproduce. It isn't absolutely perfect because man has created many mistakes. The books of Genesis and Ecclesiastes might be able to help you on this. His creation did fall from their perfect start because of what humans did. God doesn't make peole lie, cheat, steal, commit adultery, etc. They do this on their own.

of course it's not perfect. God created us with intellect and free will, the purpose of which would be lost in a perfect world.
it is in this world where we choose to love God or not. this practice of both free will and intellect should operate on the premise of imperfection (pain, suffering, temptation, etc) so that the decider is tried and tested to the fullest.
besides, on a more secular note, imperfection is not necessarily failure. if i get 99 correct answers from a 100-point exam, it would be imperfect, but it would be a long way from being a failure.
hope i've helped ;-)

All imperfection in creation finds its ultimate efficient cause in sin|
Creation as created by God was perfect (but a limited perfection, within the genus of each particular created thing)|

Imperfection becoming perfect. Growth in time, a way to grow souls from nothing to something. What a plan! Who could have thought of a better idea than God? And besides, how could the brainchild of atheists, evolution, possibly exist if things couldn't always become better?

I don't think anyone out there thinks everything is perfect. But what has the existence of God have to do with everything being perfect?
In fact part of praying to God is to ask Him to make things better, if everything is perfect, we wouldn't pray would we?

What a great question. I've asked that so many times in recent years.
I would love to believe there is a higher being. I admire and in some ways envy ,the people who have that faith. However, I cant help thinking ...nature is the creator man/ the human race decide, how and if we all live in harmony.
