This morning, I was stuck in traffic on the 60, and while sitting there, trying not to cuss at everyone and their brothers, I started looking around at the people in other cars. There was a black guy two lanes over in an old Chevrolet Impala, not one part of that car was painted the same color, but, I could see he was dressed immaculately, probably on the way to work. There were about ten Chicanos in a truck right next to me, and their music was very loud, and they were all smiling and laughing about something. I turned down the volume of my Cure cd to listen to their music. I don't know what the song was about, but I liked it. I saw a white woman in a Honda ahead of me, putting on her makeup in the rearview, she kept making funny faces, I laughed. The sun started coming up, shining on the palm trees, and the cool breeze was blowing thru my car, I'm listening to Chicano music, watching a white woman make faces and wishing I could dress as nice as the black guy. I love people. Do you?

Wasn't it wonderful to take a moment from the rushed life we all live and just notice the little things? There are too many little opportunities that we all miss. I really do love people and I like to think that I am receptive to what they may be feeling. Sometimes I like to notice people when they think nobody is looking. At times you can see the depth of their despair, the happiness, stress and sometimes they may even just amuse you ..... I do love people and it is nice to know that there are others who take the time to "put on someone else's shoes" if only for a brief moment, instead of cursing the traffic ...

Oh, yeah! I have been a people watcher all my life. There are some very fascinating specimens out there. People are so funny, too. When I was a kid, we lived in L.A. We would go to town and my mom would go into some business and not come back for a few hours. My dad, little brother and myself sat in the car waiting for her. My dad would start talking and laughing about different people walking by. Not in a mean way, but in an observant way...with humor. That was one of the biggest life's lessons he ever taught me. All about others and their differences and how we are all the same regardless. But, I can read people like a book. lol

I love people watching. We are so funny! I love people and I never "make fun" of anyone though - only laff because I know I am the same. Watching people at the beach is especially fun.

Traffic is a funny thing. The odd time I see people crying or arguing too. I always wonder what people's lives are like, what they are currently going through.
The oddest experience I had was the day after my dad died. I had made an appointment to have a pedicure, and I kept it, thinking it a great way to relieve the stress and tension. Here I was, beginning to grieve my loss, and no one there knew. They were all chit chatting about this and that, nail polish, evenness of colour, hair, kids, school etc... and no one knew the pain I was in. At no time did I feel sorry for myself. I just found it fascinating what we talk about when nothing else seems to matter.....

blessings on your day :)

You sound like you could be the soul mate of a woman I know. You have an eagle's eye for seeking beauty, no matter what the cost. That brings a great deal of joy. I am sure I don't have to tell you, the keen eye, while beholding the beauty, can be pricked by the sight of pain. I am happy that today was a day to behold the beauty!

I do love people. I love meeting new friends, seeing old friends, being around others.

I love the way you tell stories - you have a knack for it.
I like to watch people - they interest me. But I am anti-social, so I can't say I really like people.

Honestly, I'm not much of a people person. I'm much more comfortable and peaceful in solitude. I'm with my boyfriend because he's one of the few people in this world who doesn't drain me when I'm around him.

I absolutely LOVE people. Broiled, little Barbecue sauce, a sprig of mint perhaps. De-licious!

As a nurse, wouldn't it be a conflict of intrest to not like people?
