I have been drinking 2% milk and my bones seem to be a little weak. I used to drink whole milk, but know I don't. I have heard that whole milk is for babies to develop strong bones, but is it also okay for young adults to keep drinking it?

Low fat milk or whole milk the amount of calcium is identical. You need 1200mg of calcium daily so that would be about 5 glasses of milk a day. If you are not drinking that amount there are other ways to get it. You can drink the orange juice with the calcium in it, this is way good, or you can take a supplement of citrical with vitamin D. This will help you stave off the effects of osteoporosis.

Milk provides a high level of essential nutrients compared to its calories. Each serving of milk provides 10% or more of the recommended daily intake for calcium, vitamin D (if fortified), protein, potassium, vitamin A, vitamin B12, riboflavin and phosphorus.

Milk is an excellent source of calcium. Regardless of its fat content, milk provides about 300 milligrams (mg) of calcium per serving (8 fluid oz). Calcium helps to reduce the risk of osteoporosis, high blood pressure and colon cancer. It is difficult to obtain enough calcium without consuming milk (or other dairy foods).
Milk is a good source of highquality protein, which contains all essential amino acids. Also provides other minerals like phosphorus, which helps strengthen bones; magnesium, which is found in bones and teeth; and zinc, which helps keep skin, bones and hair healthy. Vitamins in milk are A, which helps maintain normal vision and skin, and D, which helps the body absorb calcium. An excellent source of riboflavin (B2), which helps convert food into energy and promotes skin and eye health.

Whole milk is best for children because the fat content is important to their brain development. The percentage on your milk (2%, 1%, whole, skim) doesn't have anything to do with the amount of calcium (the mineral needed for bones) but rather the amount of fat in the milk.

As it comes from the cow, milk consists of two parts: the skim milk part, which is a water solution/suspension containing all the minerals - including the calcium for your bones - and the cream, which contains butterfat and the fat-soluble vitamins. To make 2%, 1%, and skim milk, the cream is skimmed off either in part or in whole. Then the remainder is homogenized so the cream particles mix completely with the milk. Therefore, you will get essentially the same amount of minerals and water-soluble vitamins in any kind of milk, because the cream portion of the original milk is fairly small.

Cow's Milk is basically too harsh on a splash one and small infant's gadget so the longer you are able to refrain from giving it on your infant the better they are going to be. It additionally does not have the nutrition that formulation has in it. maximum formulation's have stages of formulation on your infant so they are going to nonetheless get the suitable nutrition and supplements that are interior the formulation. Cow's milk would reason alergies too. the advice of your pediatrition is maximum suitable on your infant by way of fact they have been seeing all of them alongside, yet once you go with to end formulation for even if reason, I recommend you employ a various kind of milk different than cow's milk. Goat's milk is fairly delicate on a infant's tummy and usually does not reason alergies. be valuable that even if you provide them it fairly is crammed with protein considering that a splash one and youthful infant choose a brilliant form of that for construction their stable bones which will carry them by way of existence. I genuinely does not take them off breast milk or formulation in the previous they are twelve months previous. maximum babies are nonetheless taking the bottle way into 18 mos to 2 years and rule of thumb is to maintain them on formulation till they are weened. wish that enables.
