You can not get addicted to ASPIRIN. If you say you are addicted it is next to impossible. Even if you take excess Aspirin you can stop it anytime without any difficulty. You should know the side effects of Aspirin-
If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop taking aspirin and seek medical attention or contact your doctor immediately:
* an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives);
* black, bloody, or tarry stools;
* nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain;
* uncontrolled fever;
* blood in the urine or vomit;
* decreased hearing or ringing in the ears;
* seizures; or
* dizziness, confusion, or hallucinations.
I PRESUME FROM YOUR AVATAR THAT YOU ARE A FEMALE. One of the main effect of taking Aspirin is diluting the blood. In the long run you will have irregular Menstruation or problems related to your periods. So please stop taking Aspirin. If you are really unable to do so please contact your Physician and act as per his advce.-

The question shouldn't be how to get rid of an addiction... as there are many 12 step programs you can follow for that.
My question is.. Why Aspirin?
Aspirin isn't normally a thing someone becomes addicted to, which makes me wonder if there is some physical reason your body needs it... such as some kind of chemical imbalance or vitamin deficiency.
I would suggest that you try to wean yourself off them.. limit yourself to 4 a day maximum for 3 days.. then 3 a day for 3 days, then 2 a day for 3 days.. then 1.. then none. Only have the amount that you're allowed with you, and only take the ones you have allowed yourself.
While you're doing this.. Go see your doctor. There is a reason you're starving for aspirin, and your doctor would be the one to help you figure that out.
Long term overuse of Aspirin can be deadly.. so get yourself off it, and please.. go see your doctor.

Aspirin stays in your system for about 15 days right so you've got all the aspirin you need for about that long. Therefore why not cut down to one every two weeks until you recognize that you've got a hold of at least one treatment and then make it four weeks then six etcetera?
That's how you can treat your aspirin addiction unless you're pregnant then I'd have to hear more about your situation and especially what sort of groan your Doctor gives you.
I used to do the same thing until I finally cut it down to one every two weeks then six then ... 'till now I take them when I have a headache.

You know you're really hurting yourself, so I don't even need to go there.
Try subbing really sour candy instead. I like the taste of aspirin too, and if you eat something with a bite it might help.
Next- get the aspirin OUT of your house. Don't even have it available.
If this doesn't work, seek some help. Good luck!

You need real help, not from here. Call your doc, or go see him, or call the emergency room, as you will be there soon if your blood type is O & you cut yourself, you may bleed to death before you can get there.
This is an addiction just like alcohol or harder drugs, go to the emergency room NOW!
You can become addicted to anything, it will take an intervention to get you out of it. Go now, pray later, God helps those who help themselves.

Unfortunately for people who refuse to believe and act upon the proven medical advice, it may take a near death experience to stop. I hope that's not you. We also lost a co-worker and friend here due to the exact same thing. She knew too and refused to make herself stop. She almost died. Guess what, she quit that habit very easily after that. Hope you don't take the hard way. You may not be so lucky and get that 2nd chance.

Stop taking aspirins. It's not a joke, that's all you have to do.
People tend to think that it's out of their control. It's not.
If you take a pill with your own hand, put it in your mouth and swallow, that's a lot of willpower. Just don't do it.
