All nationalities of Eurpoean nature have entered this country, some legally but by an large most illegally. In fact, most immigrants lied about who they actually were (names changed) and where they really came from (nation or town of origin) to enter this country at the beginning of the century. Most of these ethnic groups actually came here with a discriminate attitude towards people of color, engaged in criminal activity, created a society of division/divide amongst other ethnic groups, stole, usurped and robbed the native people of the land, their rights and freedoms. SO why are we sooooooo terrified of Mexicans?????

If a person lied, about their name, place of origin, maritial status, etc false information was given thus making them illegal. If a person married for the sake of citizenship, they are illegal because they entered the country under false pretenses. If a person stays past their visa expiration date, they are illegal. If they came with a fake passport, green card, identification or any other means they are illegal. The reality of immigration is that millions have entered this country illegally, and America has accepted them and even allowed them to become legal, even though they broke the law from the beginning. Why are we not giving Mexicans, Hatians, Cubans, etc the same opportunity? They're here now, so why not allow them to become legal?

Your entire premise -- that 40 million illegal Latinos is fine b/c of a much smaller number of Europeans entered up until around World War 1 -- is false.

The statement that Mexicans are just taking there country back, because it was theres before the war is so iggnorant. First, the point you lost the war, deal with it. Every countries looses war evan america. Secound if they are coming to retake there land (like some say), well that is called invasion, and we have every right to answer the call when somebody is invading our country.
Please do not compare illegal immigration now a days to the europeans that immigrated in the past.
It is funny to me that people that are in favor of illeagal immigration will always try to call people against illegal immigration racist. But yet they compare the illegal mexicans to the eupropeans.
This has nothing to do with race if you are illegal you are breaking the law and need to be like everyone else that is american and live by the law, pay taxes, learn english.
We should not assimilate to a bunch of criminals.
You are not like the immigrants in the 50s. Fisrt people that came in the 50s where required by LAW to learn the language with 6 months of being here. You had a hard enough time finding a job. Especially when you saw signs like polish need not apply are jews not wanted. Now adays illegals have it easier than regulat americans finding jobs, because they can walk to a construction site and get paid minimun wage under the table.
No, I do not beleive for one secound that illegals are doing the jobs americans want do. First, If got paid and extra 2 bucks an hour I would leave by building in down town Houston and go work constuction. The answer is, No, Americans want do hard labor for crap pay.

Because of illegal aliens most of the major cities where illegal migrate to, the hospitals and helthcare have gone down the drain. Houston, L.A. Pheonix are the top three cities for hospital closers do to insufficent funds.
Yet if an American goes to the hospital, they might get free care right then, but they will get a bill to pay for. And if they cant afford there bill, there credit will be hurt.
I am not against free healthcare to people that need it. Poor americans that need healthcare should be intitled to it. BUT THE FACT IS THEY PAY TAXES TO.

Are you for real? the La Raza people always try to make this a race war, jeezzus I'm so tired of that. Look dude no one cares what color people are anymore except at the rallies you seem to go to.
Color isn't the issue. Having said that my wife is very brown and I am exceedingly fond of her.
Back to the point. It isn't color it the fact that they are illegal aliens, criminals, thieves, rapists and identity frauds. As for your revisionist history above try again. Throughout history people who were thieves and brigands were jailed and hung they didn't account for a very large portion of LEGAL immigrant populations either. Finally my man if you actually read history you'd have known that many legal immigrants in the last century and before changed their names primarily because they wanted to assimilate faster, not that they were all theives and cut throts. My God boy did you ever go to school or was it in East LA or Oakland?
You must watch too many TV shows, those are all made up stories try getting your backside off the couch long enough to read a book and then go out and see the US 1st hand.
My ancestors came here legally, not as the Mexicans do today as a gang of thieves.
Some of my ancestors came here with Willam & Mary. I can trace them back to fighting the Kings of England during the partitioning and to the Norse in Norway. Many familes keep detailed records that are also in many local repositories. You really don't know what you're talking about.
Just for the record I don't think we're terrified, we're enraged. we are going to vote thsi government of betrayal out.

You have not accurately stated the facts. The ones who came here in the 19th and 20th centuries were MOSTLY legal, the laws at the time were a lot less stringent. As a result, we had a flood of immigrants and actually a crisis, too many people, not enough jobs. Fortunately, we had enough room for people to move West. This is what caused the westward expansion of The US. If you look at that time, because of the amount of immigrants, wages and work hours were horrendus, poverty was out of control and epidemics swept the country.
The reason why many changed their names was not because they entered illegally, it was because immigration officials wrote down the names as how they thought they were supposed to be spelled or, such as in the case of a lot of hispanics were confused about what name was really the last (ie, Garcia-Mendoza, one brother would have the last name of Garcia and the other brother would go to another immigration official and would be admitted under the last name of Mendoza).
The illegal immigrants have also put a big burdon on our system. Many hospitals in Southern California are either struggling or have closed The ER because of the cost (most illegals don't pay thier bills and have no insurance). They are also ruining the trades, by working under the table and accepting wages that no US Citizen could live on, they have destroyed the ability of citizens to ask for a fair wage for fair work.

It costs us so much to support these millions that we can not even support our own! It has NOTHING to do with Ethnic groups or race. We have so many nationalities who live together peacefully in the USA. For crying out loud, we are the big melting pot!!
I am not terrified of Mexicans...or any other nationality. I am terrified of killers, thieves, etc.... The USA may be the land of the free, but it does NOT mean that everything in this country is free for the taking. I work hard for what I have. I have been robbed 4 times. They could not trace the fingerprints to anyone on file. (Everyone here is fingerprinted when they get a driver's license....so....hello!)
Illegally entering this country is breaking the law. It is a LAW. We must abide by the law or face the consequences.
My father-in-law entered this country from Italy over 50 years ago...went through the legal process (as MANY others did). He worked his behind off to learn English and support his family. He never once depended on welfare or anything like that. He earned his right to be an American citizen as so many others have done.
(And whoever gave me the thumbs down...you must be a lawbreaker or here illegally and live off of everyone else's tax money too?)

The facts are it is illegal to enter without documentation. Live in the present and quit trying to justify illegal activity by what has happened in the past. The laws are in place and should be followed. Not surprised that a pro has thrown the race card in to the argument.

Mass immigration to any country is not good no matter what color they are.
It is time for these countries of color to get their population under control. It is their reponsiblilty to care for their own people. Those countries which are still third world will never change until they can't send their citizen to other countries instead of dealing with their problems.
If we keep letting them in, this country will be be like their country Rich and POOR, better know as third world.
Rich people never let poor people come into control. They just throw them a bone.

It's not about race, and it's not about what happened in the past. It's about the law as it is currently on the books. Either change it or enforce it. That's my opinion.
But I am not afraid of Mexicans, or anyone else. I work with people from over 22 different countries, all of whom have come to this country legally to live and work, so I know it can be done the right way. They are my friends and I respesct them tremendously. They enrich my life and I am glad they are in America.
I am expected to obey the law, so are all the people in America. No one should be allowed to get a free pass.

My ancestors came legally, I can trace them.
It is cumulative numbers and cumulative impact and the existance now of subsidies for the poor that didn't used to exist so that each poor person illegally coming across the border costs us money and takes money from our children's education funds and our senior's medical care funds and security.
Multiply that by a million a year, give or take, and it is absolutely unacceptable.
We never remotely had impact on our own people's services like what illegal immigration is creating now.

I love how the left loves to play the race card. If someone has an opinion about something they don't like and it involves race, it is racist. Not wanting ILLEGAL immigrants coming into this country had nothing to do with race. I would kick out an illegal Candian just as fast as an illegal Mexian.
We don't see hundreds of Candians crossing in Vermont in the middle of the night. When was the last time you saw a homemade boat of French citizens off ours shores? What about a ships cargo hold filled with 200 Belgians?
